Just read joker's review of the JH13 freqphase, and he makes a few comparisons to the ER4S that sound uncannily similar to something I'd say about the Tenore... Can we get him a pair to test? Who has the most reference pair?

Also did he raise his rating of the ER4S recently? I don't remember it being a 9.2. Either way there are a lot of phones on there that in no way deserve a higher rating imho... coughflat-4cough... aaaahhhwestone4chooooo...

Funnily enough I was just listening to Lindsey Stirling's album. Very nice.

Yiruma also sounds beautiful with the Tenores; River Flows In You, May Be and Kiss The Rain are beautiful songs.

Not sure about the zelda part, but I concur about her hideous looks. And she moves around very clumsily as well. :D

Hehe. I obviously have the most reference pair. ;) ;) kidding of course, although i do seem to be the most impressed by its impeccable reference quality... maybe i do have the best pair....? :-P  My precious....

Is it just my ears or are these trebles like Shure trebles, kinda thick or grainy(lacking fine parts)?  Kinda reminds me of 535 or 846 grains.   Come to think of, it's like Shure, not over abundant in bass, and has grainy trebles at 10th of the price of 535.

I hope you're kidding. :-P The shure 535 has MUCH better treble and extension than the tenores.

I'm not kidding, I had the 535.  535 isn't really that great since I like micro details.

Never heard the JH13FP, but I dunno that they'd be similar given that SGS noted annoying treble peaks on the FP

How is a broken ladder and the 535 alike? They're not. A broken ladder has more extension.

Anyway, I'm trying out wide bore tips.  It does sound like it opens up the treble a bit.  Not as smoothed out.  It could be placebo though.

Uh, no, it's just your ears.  The 846 has poor treble extension.  I hear zero grain in the Tenore treble.

They don't really sound similar.  The JH13 has more overall bass and brighter, peakier treble.  If it wasn't for the treble issues, I'd still own the JH13 b/c it's imaging was bar none the best I've ever heard.

Just to be uber clear, I was SO kidding about the 535. They rolloff in the treble like a ski slope. The tenore is uber smooth and detailed.

I'm very intrigued with the Tenore I have coming now.

I have the Dunu 2k in my ears that I just got today, and while it's freaking awesome, it's not $220+ more freaking awesome than my current favorite, the KC06A.

I think some sub $100 sets have really come unto their own this past year, bringing audiophile satisfying quality at affordable pricing (The way it should be). The Tenore seems to be one of those.
