Has anyone tried comply tips yet? I'd love the comfort and fit best, but if it dampens the treble or anything forget it. These things are the most extended beautiful treble. I refuse to sacrifice even a tiny bit. :-P haha. But curious if anyone has tried them...?

i wouldnt want to try that and mess up that trebles :P

I don't like Complys on these, it doesn't really sacrifice treble extension but I feel the subbass suffers

I agree, bass and depth are unmatched. I still can't believe two things. First, how awesome they are. And second, the sound hasn't changed for me. Sometimes, like the re400, to had to grow on me. Not with the tenores. That makes me think they are very reference. There's no problem area that changes with genres or that you have to become familiar with. They just sound excellent.

I caved and bought these. I am still waiting on my aurisonics rockets. The form factor of both will be hard to top since they pretty much disappear in your ears. Deal is too good to pass up, so they will hold me over till the rockets get here.

Yeah, same on the er4s. Can't stand the sub bass. It's like it makes it a bass trap or something.

For absolutely incredible bass, check out the latest BT album A Song Across Wires.

Wow. There is some insane sub bass these puppies can produce. I literally thought I had the fit wrong or something. I listened to some jazz, which sounded "perfect" and then some other stuff that also sounds very balanced. Then I put on the BT album, which some songs have nice balanced sections, but then at parts the sub bass kicked in and i was like "what the $%#$%?" It's like having a 15" subwoofer in your ear. Amazing the songs still sound balanced, but with a tremendous bass foundation, which makes sense for the genre. Just shows that they have the chops when the song demands it, but it never interferes with music that doesn't demand it.

Crank that up. It starts nice and tight, and then at 1:00 the sub bass is very very deep. Not too loud mind you, but deep. It's a bit more apparent on the CD, but the youtube isn't bad.

And this is my favorite. Deeeeeeum!  At 0:24 the bass and kick drum are amazing. Tight, sub bassy, and uber good sounding. And you still hear all the nice muffled keyboards and high pitched ping pong sounds....

This is where these tromp the er4s. The er4s has nice bass, but it can't produce the subwoofer quality extension and thwamp when needed. EQ improves the er4s, but this is just superb with no eq at all.

Wow, the ex1000 had bass like these? I assume the treble wasn't as smooth though? In traditional sony fashion? :-P

Yeah EX1000s bass is very similar, but it's treble is peakier and less extended

Hehe, at 4:16 you feel like your body literally vibrating, so much round and big the bass is when is called for. :basshead:

These just continue to blow my mind. I'm hearing micro details in the atmosphere of songs that I didn't know existed even with the er4s. Little tiny tape clicks and shuffling. I always heard things like this best with the er4s, but these take it to another level. They are simply very reference to my ears. I get the impression i'm listening to studio monitor speakers in my ears. This has been my goal for the last 50+ earphones. :-P

Glad to see a lot of people jumping on the hype train. Could this be the first time the hype train reaches a destination? The GR07 and ER4S got some of us there, to that blissful Kingdom of Audio Nirvana, but the Tenore seems to be picking up everyone and their mother. Will we all arrive together in the Land of High Fidelity?

This could be the long awaited bridge between neutralists and bassheads, objectivists and subjectivists, man and machine... the glitch in the Matrix lol. Time will tell.

Are the folks who are purchasing these in the last week rolling the dice on having any warranty?

My understanding was that those who are ordering them from Japan are taking a chance because the sellers only cover units sold in Japan.

O.k. Here's an amazing test track I use on all of my IEMs. You must note that this sounds better on CD. I wish I could upload a full quality version, but this shows essentially what the quality is.

From 1:00 on the raw power and emotional oomph of the orchestra is amazing. I CAN'T BELIEVE this album is out of print! I got a used copy on ebay. Worth every penny.

This track shows the beautiful texturing of the strings, the epic orchestral drums and how deep they hit, and just how powerful things sound when portrayed accurately. The CD basically makes everything a bit smoother and more open/airy a tad. But oh well. Hopefully you get the point.
