Not much of a feat with the FX850's copious bass boost and treble spikes. The 850 is the farthest thing from transparent, but its coloration manages some pretty stunning sound with the right material. I really need to get my Tenore back from Unity :l

I actually think the 650/750/850s midhighs and treble are huge leap forward for JVC, far better than the stuff before and fairly transparent, only minimal spikes.

Yes the fx850 are there best so far, but not the best in total. That goes to the kc06 gold and kc06A so far 😅

Wait! I thought you gifted these to me as a show of gratitude for raising your two sons to be such excellent clean cut young chaps of the royal type to whom you are indebted to after being asked by the mighty king to cherish them for they hold the worlds salvation in the palm of theirs hands together with all those who have suffered supression on grounds unimaginable by mere mortals that have never lived a struggle in their life as they have been gifted great fortune under the clashing of lifes dice that while impartial in theory never seem neutral in practice for the suffering they bring relatively to happiness is always sided heavily.... don't take them away from me please 😩

I don't hear the "muffling" of cymbals like the ER4S. I've tried looking for it on the same song and the cymbals/vocals sound about even in comparison. I have to also once more say the bass on these guys is quite good, exquisitely balanced with great texture. My GR07BE still sounds a touch better, I want to say "cleaner", but I've been listening to those classics for a while in comparison. This is truly a magnificent value for those that, like me, liked the Vsonic GR07 sonic package. While some might miss the zing, they will be giving up little if nothing on the low-end and midrange.

Change the tips😇

The jvc fx850 tips on these kc06's are killer😎

I wonder whether FX850 tips will fit on Tenore.

Inks, what tips do you use for Tenore?  A few of us use Meelectronics M6 double flange, and Shotgunshane uses Comply S200 (mine are on the way).

My tip collections spans that which came with my traded GR07 BE, two pairs of ASG double flange, and 1 pair of medium tips given to me by noble audio during a meet . Only the Vsonic tips fit, ASG/noble having too large of a diameter on the stem. My tip collection needs work I suppose...

Sennheiser double flanges are nice too, when using the mod, I mentioned earlier, to keep them on.

+1

The Senn doubles are uber-comfortable and fit great with the mod, the mod being that you cut the stem off of a tip that fits the Tenore (like an MH1 tip), then put that stem piece on the Tenore, then fit the Senn doubles over that. Boom, tip adapter.

I use a161p single flanges in small

FINALLY!!!! It's about DARN time I got these things.

The usps guy just left a slip saying i missed the delivery attempt. They never EVER attempt delivery, they just leave a slip by default. I grabbed the slip, walked over to the guy and said "i'd like this now please". lol

Time to listen.
