These guys sounded smooth at the top like the ety's but I didn't notice the same problem. I'm going to try that same song again with these bad boys and see if it sounds similar but memory's a bad little muffin.

with correct insertion depth the treble peak should be above 12kHz so it shouldn't be a problem.

If you want more treble then remove the mesh filter 😊

Hi hig!

May I know what product you are referring to? Ety? Tenore? Both?

I pushed the Tenore in purty far. I also tried the tri-flange tips on the etys but used the double flange for the most part. Either way, "correct insertion" is hard for me to picture. Illustration perhaps?

Also, should I use the word peak instead of spike or they are interchangeable in this instance? I can imagine the word spike carrying a stronger or more negative connotation...

Lol mochill, I'll be willing to give that a shot if it wasn't for the fact these aren't mine.

But that is besides the point! Where is my poetic heartfelt KC06A review? I need it in and around my face mate 😩

I'm assuming these are single BA.  Looking at the elevated bass and treble extension compared to ER4, it's a pretty good tune for a single BA.

Now, sonically is another.  Need to hear these bad boys out, price is pretty damn good to test them out!

Thank you! This is what I was looking for on top of the nice graph.  :D

Tenores are single dynamic micro-driver.

Yeah dynamic, there has yet to be a single BA that has the treble extension like that shown on the Tenore.

The graph looks great and the low price, but still not sure of it's sonic capabilities.  What level would  you say these are in terms of sonic ability?  How do they compare to the EX-1000?

Dunno if I'd like the Tenore coming from the Basso. I want better female vocals.

Tenore has better female vocals.

Are you curious at all about the Carbo Singolo or are you pretty confident it won't beat the Tenore?

Interesting — her vocal color reminds of Billie Holiday.

It won't, Shotgunshane didn't even like the Doppios more than the Tenore.

With the Tenore and Basso being different designs with different drivers and sound signatures within the same brand, it might not be fair to assume that the Singolo sounds inferior to the Doppio, even if they are both BA-based earphones. It seems often the case at Head-Fi that a lower tier model ends up being preferred over the flagship.

Received the Tenore today - right channel is dead most of the time. Sometimes it comes back, but is very weak.

I bought it through BuySmartJapan, which has an unusual return policy:

The Company shall not accept any Member’s request for return or exchange of Goods, except in cases where such request is based on causes attributable to the fault of the Company.
    ...

In cases where any initial defect is detected in Goods, Members shall directly contact the manufacturer of Goods and ask for repair or exchange. The Company and Suppliers shall not respond to any request for return or exchange of Goods due to initial defect.

I have contacted the Zero Audio support, but do not hope for much, as their warranty is valid only in Japan.

Lesson learned, eBay may sometime be more expensive, but at least you won't end up empty handed.

Ah.. what a bummer.  I experienced something similar with my Tenore (right channel) but it turns out it was just my tablet that is on its last leg.  When I switched back to my phone it sounded just fine.
