You ever see the episode of King of the Hill where Boomhauer teaches Bobby how he gets women?

I haven't, but that's my philosophy...especially after being out of the dating game for so long. I'm getting my whole body wet, instead of just my feet.

This thread has become very strangely arousing. And it was about dating (before). So something's got to give.

I suspect it may have been the Archie, Veronica and Betty photo. Too risque for public eyes, perhaps?

Speaking of big black furries, our neighbours took their cat on a date with another cat, a few days ago....might have been one of the strangest things I've seen. Not arousing at all.

Wonder if they used eharmony...

All things considered, furries and these boys flirting with each other is technically better than sad worst date stories. Sort of.

I have a date coming up soon. Seeing how it'll be my first in years, it's guaranteed to end up here
post #548 of 1406

I recall a pretty sad one that I probably shouldn't tell in order to respect my friend's privacy (and embarassment). Involved cats. No joke.

Strangely all of his bad date stories involve cats, though he doesn't own one.

There's this great story about how a guy got dumped by a girl, whines about her on a blog, starts up a site comparing the ratings of female attractiveness, ticking off the girl as it made her friend all sad, then he gets suspended, gets hired out to work on a social media website, works on his own and releases it earlier, gets into legal chagrin, and ends up trying to get with the girl again.

A more non-realistic one - my friend had one with one of those nail-painters a while back. The stereotype is confirmed. After having a iced coffee poured on him because he waved to a female coworker he saw at the shop....

Remember all the sage advice given in this thread...

No, wait, scratch that. Forget everything we've ever said in here. Sweet Jebus don't show up to the date wearing a panther suit making tractor noises. If you do, make sure to put it up on youtube...

Well being good looking hasn't got me far for a while. I just get friend zoned so quickly. Sucks. I used to be able to get girls easily, now I have to rely on my friend or two with benefits for any action...
I'm still only 20 so I have time, just been single for a while.

Start by working on your levels of eye contact.

I don't mean staring, and I don't mean sexually-suggestive eye contact, I just mean generally learning how to be comfortable retaining good conversational eye contact with people.

After a while, you'll find yourself more comfortable holding eye contact with women, and women subconsciously respond to this because they're accustomed to very few people holding eye contact with them. Women are looking for a man who can confidently fulfil their needs, and who can connect with them, emotionally.

But there is a caveat:   as I mentioned in a previous post (http://www.head-fi.org/t/664938/worst-date-stories/510#post_9810187), in order to be confident, natural, and relaxed around women, it is essential that you don't feel that 'the stakes are high'. Failure to understand this means you will glow like kryptonite to women. It's not a simple 'decision', it's a deeper understanding of yourself and how you relate to yourself and to the opposite sex. Until you are truly comfortable being single, you'll be spinning your wheels (unless you're just a delusionally arrogant player bouncing from one one-night-stand to the next, in which case you may have fun but you're unlikely to attract any relationship-worthy women)
