I've known girls in their early 20s that were still kooky like that but still cool when you could speak with them one-on-one. Lots of people just get zany depending on the crowd (like they're putting on a show of sorts). If we're talking 30's and up though, eh...

I like the quirky, free spirited girls. As long as they're not psycho, and I've had my share of that.

I wouldn't say she's psycho as such.

Yeah it can't be worse than my experience with the psycho lol. She sounds kinky - go for it!

While I don't have any of the extreme experiences that some others in this thread have had...

So, I'm respectably tall for being Asian 6'4" or so. My ideal girl would be someone on the taller side. However, the only girls I've managed to have decent relationships with are around 5'2" and 5'4". Not a big deal, but the physical height difference has been an awkward factor quite a few times. Nothing against shorter girls, it just makes me feel awkward....

Anyways, bad date stories. I was "dating" this girl from China at my school. I thought it was going pretty well. I usually go back to China to visit my relatives every other year. She suggests that I should meet her family and friends. No problem so far...

As it turns out, she already has a boyfriend back in China, and the whole purpose of having me along was to make him jealous. After she breaks up with him, she then proceeds to break up with me, saying she had "gotten what she wanted."

Not only do I feel manipulated, I also managed to piss off this guy, who apparently holds some pretty bad grudges....

Girls are scary...

Well, the guy is an absolute tool if he holds anything against you - does he really think you'd be meeting all her friends and relatives if you knew she already had a partner?

Sounds like he's as screwed in the head as she is.

Onwards and upwards, mate; onwards and upwards..! smile.gif

haha thanks!

I guess there are a couple more to add, so...

So far, all my experiences have been with Asian girls..not being racist or anything, but its sometimes hard to step out of your comfort zone...Anyways, most of them haven't turned out that well...that I've started thinking about stepping out of my comfort zone.

I dated a Korean girl for about 3 months or so. It turns out, she had some major plastic surgery done after she graduated from high school, and she looked nothing like what she did now. Looks aren't everything for me, but I think you should try to be comfortable with who you are. I'm okay with a little bit of plastic surgery, but she looks nothing like what she looked like in high school.

I asked a Japanese classmate out, since we shared the same anime interests. She agrees for the first week or so, and then I get this phone call from her dad our second week in, and it turns out her whole family is heavily against her dating Chinese guys.

So yeah...

lol plastic surgery is crazy in Korea. I read something about all the contestants at beauty pageants looking exactly the same because they all had plastic surgery to make them look like the "ideal" of beauty. TBH I don't even find that "ideal" all that attractive.

Yeah, the Miss Korea contestants all look alike this year. Doesn't help the stereotype that all Asians look alike...

I think its a consequence of the K-Pop scene...All these young Korean girls suddenly have all these expectations for how they should look.

A close friend of mine told me that it wasn't uncommon for Korean girls to get double-eyelid surgery at the very least after they graduate high school...

Shame they aren't confidant with their natural looks IMO...Changing your appearance comes back to bite you one way or the other..

Double eyelid surgery is fine. But changing your looks completely so that you're almost a different person, that's just weird. BTW did you guys hear about that guy in China who sued his wife for fraud? She didn't tell him that she had plastic surgery, and he only found out when their kids were unattractive and he thought she cheated on him. lol
