Need some feedback on my T1's and HD650

I will make this as short as I can. My issue... Maybe I don't have the right amp/source for my T1's...

I own the Beyer T1's , Senn HD650

I sold my Grado PS500. I thought these sounded incredible but sold them as they were very itchy and uncomfortable after 30 minutes of wearing  them..

Senn HD650 sound very good. Could sparkle in the highs a little more

Beyer T1's could have more bass and a little less symbalence <spelling>

I think the Grado's sounded better than both with my gear. I am using them with my Marantz PM8004 CD6004 system as this has been better than both my JDS Labs and Bellari HA540

amps. The Marantz has a wonderful headphone out sound.

I am about to sell my Beyer's since I don't really want to buy more gear. However if I can achieve  better bass and tone down the highs just a touch with an amp I will.

Any suggestions?

Funny that the main amplifier I've got only sounds exceptionally good with two headphones I've come across. I've tested plenty of headphones with this graham slee solo ultra linear diamond edition headphone amp - and the beyer t1 and hd650 mate with this amp terrifically!

The denon d7000 don't (fiio e9 sounds better - I've tested this hours on end) and plenty of others don't sound entirely special from this graham slee. If only the t1 and hd650 were closed headphones...

Thanks

Not sure I understand what you have said however. With all due respect...

The graham slee amp is very good for these headphones!

Well I either sell the headphones or buy an A1 Amp or a Soloist...

Just not sure the amps will fix my two issues. I need a touch more bass and a hair off the treble.... Hope these weren't a 1300 mistake.

oh, that's the reason why your looking for an amp.

I would give these at least 500 hours of burn in. Many headphones don't change at all (like the sennheiser momentum), but these definitely do.

Sounds like a plan... Still may end up getting the Beyer amp in the end to go with them.. Thanks

t1 with ortho like bass and smooth highs? get a violectric v200 amp, mess a little with the settings, and voila!
