They don't have much bass, as many pointed out, but overall they are balanced across the spectrum, something I can appreciate. They deliver a very natural-sounding reproduction of my music.

Overall, a great headphone that I would definitely buy again!

Do you have something that can power them with ease? The lack of power can sometimes result in the lack of bass too.

Not these. The KNS-6400 just does not do a lot of bass. That's not a problem with these though because the sound is crisp and balanced. Sometimes that means the listening experience is different, but not bad. LTJ Bukem's Journey Inwards, for example, sounds great through the KNS-6400. The music, in case you aren't familiar with it, is a kind of mellow jazz-inflected drum & bass. What makes the music pleasurable with these phones is that the complexities of the music really shine through, not just the bass and some melody.

Anyhow, I'm happy my recommendation worked out for the OP! These were recommended to me over on the recommendations thread, so I'm just passing the love forward.
