I agree. I think the info contained therein is way too useful to be confined to just this thread especially since it contains info that pertains to several other phones, one of which is the new kid on the block with its very own well sustained thread (H-3).

Unity - thanks for the mention. I've enjoyed talking with you over the course of the last several months. All the time you've spent fretting over this and that has really gone unfounded as I've always found your impressions (especially the insanely long stream of consciousness ramblings on the ASG-2) to be fair, honest and all your own. Thanks again

Thanks guys!

You can't see it but I'm hugging my phone right now.... :3

I linked the comparison in the H3 thread but I would prefer the post stay inside ekes castle for now.

Should we email aurisonics about upgrading? or do they not want people to know yet?

I dont know of any upgrade process. I had the ASG2 and sold it and bought the 2.5.  Maybe theyre keeping this under a lid because the Rockets keep getting delayed?

Are you actively looking for a GR07 replacement then?

Not really. For one, it's going to be extremely hard to find a phone that shares its great ergonomics and ups it in performance. I'm not looking for a GR07 replacement here but a companion. Besides, I'm already quite(quite) happy with my Vsonics as a package. I plan to keep these guys till death do us part.

Nice writeup Unity! And thanks for the props :)

If you only want to spend around $60 for an apparently awesome sounding iem, you might want to get familiar with the Ostry KC06. Not only is it getting great amazing reviews, but it has similar ergonomics to the GR07:

Was it direct from aurisonics? They told me in an email that nobody has the 2.5 yet, and that the price was different.

Price on allsound is 600 instead of 550 for frost version

Thanks my fruend!

James told me about those guys and honestly, at this point, they could be my ASG 2 replacements 😉

I'm yet to hear K3003's tho. Then there's the ASG 2 revision. Lots of phones in the wild but I'll focus on the top 3 next. I've also been told about JVC 850's but they look quite large, it'll be H3's all over again. The experience of listening to them would still be great tho.

Something tells me the K3003 would be the perfect phone for you. Great clarity, sparkle, and tight present bass...
