...except that they haven't changed the tuning at all since launch. Not sure what you're trying to say here, but it sounds negative and baseless to me.

Ladies and Gentlemen and Champion Rewiewericus and Unparalled Cliff and Pearl Diver, the Bayou's One-Eyed Pirate: The Infamous  Master Eke:

Whatever you do, hold off on upgrading or purchasing your new ASG 2.5:   There's something to be said about an aftermarket cable for both the AS2 and ASG-2.   I have been listening to a literally different AS2 today than what I've had for the last six months.   I have been Nocturnalized.

Yes, I bought both the Nocturnal Audio Hydra 8-conductor silver plus copper hybrid custom cable($126) and the Hydra Nexus Silver plus Copper Interconnect($39) from Treoo.     For starters, lets say a 3db increase in volume, increased treble/clarity openness, veil lifted.   But an equal, balanced boost in EQ.   An awake, exciting clear, silky smooth IEM, vs a veiled, smoky room bass monster!!   For those familiar with  dr.loudness-war.com, I'm talking the difference between a 6 on the 1-7 bad scale to a 16 on the good(14-20) scale.   I'm talking about a noticable increase in dynamic range and clarity.   I'm talking about a noticable, not subtle difference just using their interconnect!!!(I'm coming from an Ibasso copper interconnect)   I'm talking about as noticable a difference between adding a very good amp, such as the Tralucent T1, or even a Leckerton to your player!

My sensitivity to sibilance is low, can't stand the GR07(used to love it till I heard an IEM with no sibilance)!   So no sibilance with this cable, brightness, yes.  The bass is no longer boomy and overpowering at times(my bass vol is totally down).  The Hydra controls and puts the bass "in its place."   The only problem I had, which was a biggggg problem, is that the housing/socket for the headphone connector on the Nocturnal was 1/16" too wide and needed to be dremmelled down to fit in deep enough so it wouldn't keep falling out.   I may also have to use this new stuff called sugru, which is a self-setting rubber, to keep the cable in.

Whether or not you get Nocturnalized or not is not my point.   My point is that I believe any decent aftermarket cable is going to make a noticable difference in your Aurisonic IEM.   One Headfier loves his Moon cable with his AS2, another loves his way expensive Tralucent cable, another loves his Swan cable with his ASG-2.   Honestly I feel like I have a new exciting IEM just from a cable.   Just make sure the connector will fit the socket, or be prepared to make it fit:D
