in-ear@aurisonics.com the server is also back up. If you were trying sales@aurisonics.com it was not active, that was just fixed also. We have a new website, online order tracking system, all new photos etc coming online very soon also.

Really looking forward to some EU distributors! All these reviews made me want to try the ASG-2 really bad, but customs/taxes are... do I have to say more?

EU is a bit trickier but we are working on that area. We have a lot of dealers in the region wanting our products. One step at a time. Thank you for your comments.

It will probably increase the subbass a bit overall and increase the entire lowend spectrum when the valve is adjusted. Physics can be a real pain sometimes...

I had not heard or heard of the 334 when I designed the ASG-2 almost a year ago but I'd say to my ears they share similarities. I do prefer the overall more analog warm sound the ASG-2 has. The 334 to my ears is the smoothest (less-gritty) BA based IEM I have personally heard.

I think that I will work on a new cross valve mod which will have an impact on bass below about 60Hz on the ASG-2. This should shift the bass valve function down a slight bit frequency wise which should lower its effect in the lower mids 200 -400 Hz ish also.

The ASG-2 has been well accepted in its target market of musicians.  The ASG-1 Rev 1.3 has also been a big hit. Thanks to everyone for all the impressions from everyone, we really appreciate everyone's interest in the ASG-2 for the audiophile market. The comparisons from many people really help us know which way to tune an IEM and make course corrections if needed. We listen to customers and suggestions.

Although I have only been designing in-ears for about two years (those made for high quality music) I have been designing headphones and other things for a much longer... Well back to work, we are always working on new things and mods to existing products in a continuing effort to bring the best quality products to the market at a fair price while making everything in the USA.

Dale,

As a Head-Fi sponsor / MOT, I believe the highlighted comments above should not have been posted (even if they may well be true), particularly the first part ("I do prefer the overall more analog warm sound the ASG-2 has") as this, in my view, clearly goes against Head-fi's rules for sponsors / MOTs, read: you're (indirectly) promoting / marketing a much cheaper Aurisonics product, the ASG-2. Had you felt the other way round, ie that you preferred the 334s, you would not have stated so publicly, as all sponsors / MOTs—for obvious reasons—never state that a competing product is better or criticise aspects of the products they themselves are selling / marketing.

Dale,

As a customer, your willingness to compare/criticize your own product grants you great respect. It makes me feel like I am dealing with a friend and not a salesman. Whatever head-fi policy might say, I salute you Sir. If the emails I'm exchanging with Andy Rowley are any indication of future dealing with your company, I cannot wait to be your customer. Cheers.

I think it is perfectly fine with what Dale said. He wasn't down talking any company or product. The asg-2 does have a warm,
analogue sound: fact. It is good to hear the creator/leader of the company chime in and hear that we are dealing with a warm-blooded human being.

Otherwise, I really am anticipating the cross-valve modification you are working on. Crossing my fingers and hoping this happens!
Keep up the good work Dale, customers are
loyal to a good person, good product!

That's my happy dance, btw.

The mids and highs are already perfect for me. I can spend hours listening to the ASG-2's smooth, yet oh so detailed, sound sig. I've adjusted to the bass presentation as well, though I still keep my ports closed.

About 5% more sub-bass would be all I need to have the perfect phone for my tastes. I'll be emailing you once a week to keep you working on it, though I not in any particular rush.

Cross valve mod, adjustable tweeters... If both of these developments see the light of day these may be the most customizable phones ever

If eke is Napoleon, then I am Pedro. biggrin.gif

Hearing that about the bass, I will wait until this modification has been finalized.... Well done sub-bass is always a good thing.

Dale, I know you don't want to commit to a timeframe, but are we looking at something like 6 weeks or more like 6+ mos for the mod?  I'm assuming this will probably be released as a 2.2?

All I would want to know is if we have a current gen ASG-2 if we would be able to upgrade to this mod? It doesn't matter to me when it comes, so long as I can take advantage of it.

To possibly clarify this further....Is this a mod that we have to buy or a mod we mod?
