Looking forward to the Rhapsodio comparison, Eke!! If I might ask, what other comparisons are you planning/hoping to do? AKG 3003, Ultrasone IQ, Tralucent 1plus2, Sony EX100, etc? The ones you've done have already really helped in placing the ASG-2 among some of the truly world-class universal IEMs available, and as I plan to own the ASG-2 as soon as Aurisonics will sell 'em to me, I think it's particularly useful as a Rosetta Stone into all the other awesome IEMs I've never had a chance to hear.

Just curious ;). Keep up the great work, man!!

Aside from the Rhapsodio, I just sent out a PM to a member asking for a loaner of the 1Plus2. Hopefully he agrees.

That fixed the problem...  Some guy named "Bob" answered the phone...  Sounded like the technician I got for Microsoft support, weird :p  Ekes, why would you deliberately give us the wrong phone number?

I was packing up the loaners to send them along to their respective destinations, and I decided to take a little group picture like kids do at the end of summer camp:

Dawson's Creek. These forums need a major Van Der Beek injection, I reckon.

Love that JVDB gif hahaha. Didn't he do that for Funny or Die, or am I remembering incorrectly?

Seems like Cn11 bought Gnarl's G-2. Hoping we get some 334/G-2 impressions from him too.

Yep! He re-did it. I wouldn't mind if he got cast in another comedy soon. HBO would be a good fit I think.

He would be good comic relief for true blood.

I have cn11's 334. He should have it for A/B Friday at the latest.

Nice. I'm hoping his impressions closely match yours. I'm liking the 334 the more I listen, but to be honest, I'm still reelin from the price of admission, and so I'm not quite convinced I need to hang onto them just yet :l

I completely understand. I feel like the ASG-2 is priced right at the point after which diminishing returns are felt the most. The price for the jump in performace from something like the GR07 to the ASG-2 is already difficult to justify for most ouside our little world, but the massive price difference between the ASG-2 and 334 is impossible to justify given that they are technical equals to these ears. Not to mention that the ASG-2 edges out the 334 in a few aspects.

I'm interested to hear you and cn11's thoughts on the 334 vs ASG-2 when you get your respective phones.

Most def. Especially given that I'm not entirely satisfied with the 334's form factor. Well crafted as they are, the way they bulge out of my ears is pretty ridiculous, not to mention I feel like I am handlin' them with kid gloves every damned second as not to tarnish their resale value :l

I think with the Flat-4, Heaven V, ASG-2 and soon (LOL) Cardas Ear Mirror, there's this growing crop of phones that can hang with the best of the best for a much more reasonable price.

I don't know if you've heard the Heaven V but it's kind of a beast actually, not exactly budget hi-fi but nowhere near the new TOTL pricing. I'm actually really surprised at the Cardas Ear Mirror price point.

Yeah, had two weeks with their sibling the H VI, which is reputed to be quite close to the H V. They are actually the exact same design aside from the whole "aging" effect I think. Aesthetically speaking at least, I'm sure there's some sorta minor tweakin going on inside. The 334's are really startin to bowl me over at the moment. Real curveball man... I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that Eke was right about the 334/G-2!
