I have every pair of the original 1plus2 that Tralucent sold to customers. Every customer was offered free replacement to the curent 1plus2....... They all took up the offer! So I shouldn't think they will be in the classifieds unless I found myself hard up smily_headphones1.gif

That's a pretty cool thing to do.

Ah... I didn't know that. Cool. So yeah... Impossible to find them then. Right!

Thanks for the clarification.

Edit: And yeah, as eke said, that is a pretty cool thing to do. Not many companies would do that. Keep on rocking Tralucent Audio!

I meant I asked the other poster because he sai clarity was important to him. But since you brought it up biggrin.gif that definition wouldn't do much good in clearing up any definitional issues. You used the word being defined in the definition for one smile.gif

Some people will see it as high resolution, ie not smearing of or missing many details. Others will see it as the crispness brought on by good dynamics. Someone else may see it as a lack of blackness in the soundstage, or to say that there is an openness or light around the instruments, not to be confused with a headphone being dark (which sometimes also has its own problems). Then there are those that associate it with brightness as you said. I'm sure there are other definitions still and combinations of definitions.

It's not exactly a rule imo. It's an unfortunate circumstance of subjectivity and a failure to effectively communicate.

Lol. Pretty awesome. Have any plans on what to do with them barring any said unfortunate circumstances?

As of late, my 'favourite' word is "synergy".

Hope you like your new toys.

I don't mean to be petty, but there's a reference in the review to the 'Translucent' (rather than Tralucent) 1+2 and also to 'Thomman' (rather than Thomann). Perhaps worth correcting.

Anyone know where I can get large white/frost/clear ortofon gel tips besides http://www.musicaacoustics.com/wp/accessories/eq5-eq7-ear-pieces/? $35 for tips sounds ridiculous to me. I cant seem to find any other one. Amazon has the black one but I want the white one to match my color scheme better.

Those on amazon aren't genuine. Ortofon tips only come in clear. Ortofon direct is the only other place I've found and its $15 for 3pr: S, M and L. The musica acoustics price isn't bad when you consider you get 5pr all the same size. They are my go to tip.

Well thanks for the heads up that those are genuine and the genuine only come in clear. I was unaware of that. Could you give me a link to the Ortofon direct if you don't mind? I can't seem to find it on google? Musica Acoustics come out to $50 shipped. That seems extremely expensive for just some tips. I have some t-500 laying around and the tips that it comes with so I'll just give those a try first. Maybe I'll talk myself into getting those ortonfon tips later on.

$50 shipped is with ems shipping. Standard shipping is free, so you are back to $35.

$14 for the 3 sizes from ortofon:

Yes. It's perfectly normal to want to buy 3 pairs of tips for $15 and only be able to use 1 pair. As for me, I have to pay about as much for shipping.

I have the "ortofon tips" from Amazon and these are not the same thing. These black ones are similiar to the generic sennheiser tips. However the build quality is the best among all unbranded generic tips I have.

The ortofon tips are pretty amazing, I got 30+ pairs of them and use these even on the CX300s. One good thing about them is due to the flexible material they fit anyting that either t200, t400 or t500 will fit. I tried these and they fit from smal nozzle of ie800 to that of 1plus2 without problem.

Oh man, thanks for pointing that out! I almost got hyped that they (http://www.translucentinc.com/products.php) announced a new product!

And there is nothing wrong about "Thoman". He was just referring to the the english version of the Thomann website :)
