I just A/B'ed cables again, and the difference is definitely there. The lower mids with the Westone cable sound bloated in comparison, and so does the bass.

What is happening to me?!
I've A/B interconnects and it didn't work for me albeit they were all copper based ranging from 5 to 299 USD. Need to compare silver and copper in futures to come.

I thought there wasn't much of a doubt that IEM/headphone cables DOES change sound, no?  LOD/interconnect now I wasn't so sure...   and if we're talking about burn-in of cables..... better not go there tongue.gif

Lol. There's differing conductivities that will probably change the sound. But when it comes to different cables of the same type for greatly varying prices, I'd be more interested in ABX, personally.

I envy you.... still no ETA for mine :(

BA's are usually affected by impedance changes. That's all it is imo.

In reference to the cables?

hey do you think Aurisonics will like sell the faceplatesfor the ASG-2 ? i dont mind spending like $100 + on a stealth black faceplate that i could just screw onto the ASG-2

I'm a realist and wouldn't trust myself with something like this otherwise. I did it with my QuickStep the other day lol, both fun and frightening.

For science Eke, for science.

See, the thing is I tried the BTG Audio copper cable on the G2..no difference.

With this cable I've A'B'ed several times, and the result is the same, with multiple tracks.

The problem with blind testing this specific cable is that I'd know instantly which one it is when it touches my ears. The way it's molded doesn't quite correspond to the G2's form.

Then I'm genuinely curious as to how this cable affect the lower mids and bass, which are handled by the dynamic.

Excuse me while I go A/B some more.

Likely due to the crossover, it's the same as the K3003, which gets warmer with lower impedace [though it's cable can't be changed]. Based on it's impedance curve, the Westone cable's lower impedance will mean more bass to the other cable on H200.

The dynamic is full range. Would that make a difference to your statement?

Ahhhhh gotcha. Shame about the ABX but if it's so blatantly obvious then it's less of a thing.

It looks like I'll have the opportunity to add to this discussion soon enough. biggrin.gif

But that's the thing...there is none. I'm guessing it might be that the differing materials hay have an effect on the speed with which the signals reach the drivers.

Man I wish I had a spectral analyzer handy.
