VSonic GR07 Problem- anyone else?

Just received a pair of GR07's from Mosoundus on Ebay. The headphones seem to work just fine except for one thing: the plug seems to be too long. When I plug the headphones completely into any headphone jack, the sound is muffled and extremely quiet. When I have the headphones partially inserted into a headphone jack, the sound is full, rich, and in both ears. I have tried this with my laptop, my phone, a tablet, and a wireless IEM pack. Has anyone else had this problem? I know it isn't likely these are fakes, but I just can't explain what is going on besides the plug being too long. Is this a manufacturing defect?

It's just so odd I was hoping for advice from anyone here

Bump. I would really like to know if I need to send these back, I've only got one week to return...

There is a possibility the jack still has some manufacturing oil coated on it, try wiping it with a clean cloth or cleaning it with some alcohol and try again. I am not saying this is the cause of your problem however there have been instances with new IEM for me where one side would cut out or be weaker than the other due to a contact issue.

I don't believe this to be the case since I get full sound out of both ears when the jack is in the semi inserted position
