Hello!

AKG K167 are no doubt better than ATH-M50 in my opinion

K167 might sound better, but they are inferior to the M50 in basically every single other way. Uncomfortable, useless folding mechanism, flimsy, creaky, and (to me) pretty ugly.

Also, not everyone likes Tiesto.

I agree with you that not everyone like Tiesto cause I myself is included in that category but still, K167 is still a better sub to ATH-M50 to me. I find the ATH-M50 bass bloated. I did rather get the a bit harsh sounding bass on the K167.. Also the forward mids of K167... Just nice!

Just my 2cent

Oh, no, I agree with you completely. The AKG K167 does, without a doubt, sound better to me than the M50... but in terms of build, the K167 is just a joke, and because of that, I can't recommend it.

The M50 is worse than the K167? I can't even imagine the M50 then since I hated the K167tongue.gif

I personally haven't demo'd any of them yet, but I have listen to a pair of Audio Technica's, and I liked them quite a bit.
