Any recommended online shop for the RE400? I don't want to end up buying in Ebay confused_face.gif
not sure but I got mine from an Australian store online. I'm sure head direct also sell them

I'll keep looking for other options out there. Head direct isn't from the US? What about customs?

I was checking these guys at headphoniaks.com and seems they have managed to get some stock of re400, but no sure about price or delivery time. Got to check it out...

Nice shop these guys have, very reasonable prices when you think they payed already the import taxes to europe. Not bad, not at all.

I honestly wish i could figure that out myself. Came back from the gym one day and pulled them out of my ears and the housing just came apart. trying to see if i can glue them back together still or find a way to fix them. If not I might buy a new pair or just use my tf10s again.

That's unfortunate!

I found this interview to the VSonic guys in their factory and in the third picture you can see the "gluing method" they use for putting things together:

I can't tell if they are using SuperGlue kind of stuff but the thin needle to pour the sticking solution might help to not mess it up!

VSD1 Special Edition with a new driver? :confused_face_2:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), default quality

Seems the new driver is quite close to the GR07 (on the specs side). You will need a bit more power to get them at the same volume level because of the higher impedance and lower sensitivity, but looking at the frequency response, you are getting a full new sound signature with more lower bass and extended high frequencies (not mention about the mid-range, though).

The shop owner says that the Sansa Clip and iPhone4 have still enough power to drive them, but with a X3, the extra output power does really help to take advantage of this new VSD1 revision.

I'm hesitating between these ones and the RE400 now. I'll wait for some reviews and decide then :beerchug:

Aren't they just treating the VSD1S as the 'special edition' of the VSD1?

I think this was a new version that was only sold in China until now.

I think they are

Why would they do that when they already have the vsd1s model availble. Now they have vsd1, vsd1s and vsd1 special edition.

This isn't Vsonic's marketing though, this is a different site.

You migt be right. VSD1S units are out of stock and they are hyping the last units as much they can and sell it as vsd1 special edition.

I thought about that too as they are out of "standard" VSD1S. Now, at least the pictures I saw there, there is a number between 000 to 999 so it makes sense this is a special counted edition.

As well, the specs published are different from standard VSD1S (80 ohms input impedance impedance, lower sensitivity etc).

They had an offer for the first 20 guys to get it for the original price and I just ordered mine a few hours ago :D I will publish some pics as soon as I get it, perhaps early on next Monday/Tuesday!   My RE400 will have to wait a few more weeks
