VSonic VSD1/VSD1S Reviews/Impression Thread - Page 55

I just received my VSD1-S today and I can honestly say I dislike one thing, the cord, I hope this thing will last a long time. I do have the "Big Brother" the GR07 BE which is my go to's right know and they still will be. It is a little early to give an accurate description but right now I the highs are a little harsh and the mids seem a little recessed, but with any dynamic these will need some burn in time which they are right now with the Fiio X3 which is still awesome.

Howdy howdy! I have not been kind to my VSD1 cable or the strain reliefs, but they are dealing with the abuse quite well so far! I actually prefer the thinner cable more than the thicker BE cable, mainly because it is easier to get them over the ears and have them stay there without needing the ear cable guides.

In addition to comparing the SQ can you also compare any difference in comfort, particularly when you lay your head sideways on a pillow? From what I've read the GR07 is an interesting combination of good all around sound and low profile comfort that allows you to listen while lying in bed on your side and not just on your back as with most headphone-like devices. It would also be nice if you compared the sound differences directly from the headphone jack of your source and not just with your headphone amp.

I had the GR07BE's for a few months. I now have the VSD1's. The profile is essentially the same for lying in bed. I set my mp3 player to turn off after an hour, and I can't count the times I've woken up in the morning, lying on my side, with the VSD1's still in my ears. So yeah, they have a low, comfy profile.

Just a simple question. Vsonic GR06 or VSD1? Some guys say gr06 is better, vice versa. What do you think?

The VSD1S is more low profile than the GR07 be. I prefer the sound of my GR07 be and rightfully so as they are three times as much. I only have had to my x3 so far which is a stand alone unit. Don't take this wrong as the VSD1 are great for the money, you would not be disappointed. Sorry if this loks weird as im doing it from my note 2.

Do the vsd1 improve after a long burn in? Probably got around 60 hours on mine now. Also where does the gr07 shine over the vsd1?

Gr07 has more detail better soundstage mids are recessed though.vsd1 improves over burn in - highs mellow out and the signature becomes less muddy but the differences are not night and day.

VSD3, VSD3S, VSD5 will be transparent and opaque.

I don't feel that the GR07's mids are recessed at all.

The last thing I care about one IEM are the looks but these seem pretty ugly for my tastes!

Stimer, which model is this? Are they still expected to be released on the 1st January?

No info on the exact model. Vsonic's ceo just posted this pic saying that he's trying VSD3, VSD3S and VSD5 samples and that the official versions will be transparent and matte what we already know. And yeah, January 1st is still the official release date.

So if I want any VSDx model before 2014 that would be only VSD1?
