I'll be interested in listening to DX50 myself. But given iBasso's usual pricing strategy, it will likely going to around X5's price range, if not over it.

FIIO never ceases to amaze me. I would like to test-drive this player with my flac library and 320K mp3's and I guess the fw will be fully functional by the time it is finally released to the market. I am totally sold. The incluided Wolfson WM8740 an digital out are impressive features plus the ability to support most audio formats. I just hope the 200 dollars price tag won't change much in my local audiophile store, mediaplayer.cl for there is no other option in Chile to buy such a product

"You should look for USB wall adapter with at least 1.5A output, preferably 2A"

Best advice ever, thank you...beerchug.gif.

Firmware has been updated to 0.98beta last week with a lot of small bug fixes. The official v1 firmware will be out probably the time the 2nd batch is ready to be released.

Any idea when it will be available in Australia or is it already available?

Reading other reviews and ClieOS's OP, it's safe to say I am itching to get my hands on this device, looks very promising.

It's in Chinese but I'll start looking for it.

If Fiio manage to lower th price just a bit, I believe that the X3 will be the main choice for a "budget" DAP. I'm really interested in this as a portable DAP.

Given I actually know about the cost of X3, lowering the price will mean little to no real profit out of the whole project. That's how low FiiO is pricing the X3 now.

That's probably true. It is probably just a bit behind the AK100 since it uses the same DAC chip and the AK100 has that rather annoying impedence issue. I just hope that it is not over $200 in Australia.

Will it play AIF, I'm just about to sign up to "HD Tracks" and was wondering the best format to down load album in, I use iTunes so I was going to pick ALAC but they also offer AIF which would also play on my Denon AVR

I believe AIFF is on the list for future firmware support, but it is not supported now.
