One thing to remember that will save you a lot of grief. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Why would a seller sell something WAY below market value when they could sell it for more easily?

Absolutely!! And that is part of the psycology of being scammed on ebay. The scammers are hoping members simply can't resist the enticement of a good deal. having been there myself, one starts to justify (mentally) the purchase... searching for good reasons:
-Its a good deal
-What if it is true, I got the deal of the century?
-Maybe its a retailer clearing out over-stock or display items?
-Its only $60, I can chance it.
-I am backed by PP, Ebay and even my credit card co... I can always pursue a charge back.
!DON'T TAKE THE BAIT! if its too good to be true....
