I was looking forward to attending this event.  But as luck would have it, a last minute change in plans is preventing me from attending.  Maybe next time.  However, I'm still looking forward seeing pictures and reading impressions from those who do attend.  Sounds like this is shaping up to be another great Bay Area event.

@Frank I, Thanks for organizing this.

Hey jazzfan.

Bummed that we won't be able to meet again at this event.

All the best to you...

Next time!

Count me in! I'd love to demo some sweet gear, particularly closed cans. Do I just buy a ticket, and then my name winds up on the list for Saturday?

Gear I can bring:

- Audio-gd C2 amp with upgraded op-amps

- Audio-gd NFB-3 DAC

- Grado SR125i

As for a digital source, I don't have my own computer, only a work computer, which I can't really bring. How would I demo the DAC for people who don't have a digital output on their mobile device?

I can leave an RCA to 3.5mm cable plugged into the amp for mobile analog input, and people can switch the amp between analog and digital inputs.

Mike mercer told me he is bringing twelve people to the headfi meet. Fantastic news and that would bring us over 50 at the meet on 8/10. Exciting stuff .

That being said, is there a way for us to arrange carpools? I will be coming from Berkeley and would rather avoid the BART with all my stuff.

Hopefully some members can step up and organize the car pools so everyone gets there for the day If someone wants to take that bull by the horns it would be appreciated.

Checking in smily_headphones1.gif I will probably bring a turntable (likely the Technics, possibly the Rega, we shall see), and or RTR. Too many digital sources at these meets! biggrin.gif

LOL, told you Mike was gonna come through with something big! smile.gif  BTW, math-wise, that means that Mike alone counts for almost 25% of the number of attendees!

I'd try and help more right now, but we're in the final week of prep for the L.A. meet here.  Hey, any SF Head-Fiers good with Photoshop?  Y'all should make a flyer that you can post everywhere (Head-Fi, Facebook, etc.) like the one we got:

Wow, the LA meet looks great also.

But I'll be able to go to San Francisco only.  Now that I have surgeries and chemo behind me (for now?), I feel able to get out of the house more.

If any of you see me at the San Francisco Show in August, do please say hello.  "Stoney" is short for my real last name.

Hi shane55,

Would have been great to chat with you again.  I can't believe I'm missing a meet AND the Cal Audio Show - this is most unfortunate.

Next meet I'll have to break out the "big iron" (MX-1000) so that folks can try the HE-6 with something that has a little more kick.

Until next time.  Cheers!
