Yep I can believe that. The AK120 S-mod scaled very high with IEMs/headphones that will allow it to show its true potential. Should have a Ref 1 by next wee ;).

Have you got Ref.1 Lee?

They should be shipping to me on Monday. So next week yes. Still debating on selling off some other gear. But honestly don't think I can part with any of it :P.

hard to sell old gear... Ref1 is magical though, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

I'm letting my 1Plus2 go as the past months I spent so much on AK240/Ref.1 and need some cash back LOL.

only kidding.. i did a bit of housekeeping myself... sold some headphones (HE-6, TH900) and headphone amp... because they are always stored in the original boxes instead of getting some good workout... I get too paranoid if I put on headphones too long at home..
I think 1P2 and Ref 1 complements each other very well, similar to HM-901 for PCM (portable) , AK240 for DSD (portable) and Hugo for redbook (transportable).

Just got my ak120 a week ago and damn does it sound nice.
Has anyone had side by side experience with a RW modded ak120 and a stock one?
How about the 120 and 120mk2?

I've already asked this in a new post with no luck, but it seems better to do it here:  Does anyone knows of a market alternative to the awful, hideous and crappy made "aligator leather" case that comes with the AK120II? I know there's quite a few options for the AK240 but seems nothing yet for the AK120II?

Also, how come there is no firmware update yet for the AK120II if there's one for the AK240 in order to install the Qobuz app?

thanks.

Hey Jark, there's a dedicated thread for the AK120 mk11    http://www.head-fi.org/t/718321/brand-spanking-new-a-k-ak120ii-and-ak100ii

You may have a bit more luck there :)
