Guess only from AK. The battery inside had no brand printed on it. You may want to contact Vinnie from RWA, I know he have the battery but not sure if original.

AS long as it works you don't need to get the original isn't it?

Well.  Usually after the first battery is done, you would care less [for what brand of battery as long as it works] as the ownership has been for some time.

Link to my comparison of AK240 with RWA120-B to F-35 amp.

Yeah, I've had mine for a little over a year but still seems like a new toy. With that kind of money on a little player I figured my next one wouldn't be for several years but the battery is now starting to run out quicker than i expect pretty often…...

Are you camparing the modded ak120 to ak240 on that thread?
Yes, the RWAK120-b is the modded 120 from red wine audio with the balanced output.

More info on it is on redwineaudio.com

Having a separate amp and the balanced mod from red wine completely changes the 120. Heck, even the dac chips in the stock 120 are swapped out with the s/b mods.

When I first got my 120 back with the redwine mod, I knew it sounded better, but that was all form memory of what I remembered the stock sound was. It wasn't until last couple days when I swapped back and forth with the 120 and 240 that I realized just how good the rwak120-b is, especially running with a true balanced amp.

So it will benefit more if i use it on balance mode?is there a lot of difference if i only use the SE than the balance?
That's a loaded question on head-fi and I don't want to get into the whole balanced vs single-ended thing, but to my ears, I have always preferred the balanced sound vs the SE. Better separation, bass is tighter with more volume, etc. same diff most systems make going from SE to balanced.

I see you joined head-fi last year. I suggest you go to a meet and listen to all the different setups. SE and balanced. You don't know what your missing till you hear it for the first time but then say goodbye to your wallet.
