If you search what Vinnie Rossi of RWA, says about AK and full size cans it is the same thing as I did. He is an expert and very well thought of in the Audio world.

The AK is a stellar product for IEMs.

I have tried my A&K120 with my HE-500 and like the combo a lot, certainly it sounds better with a higher powered output/amp but the sound was quite good A&K1200>HE500

If that can help anyone, I use that to tag/re-tag, and it works perfectly, even on FLACs.

And it's free, to boot.

Any recommendation for an amp to pair with the AK120?

i have main files with artist name

inside the artist name file i have albums

inside albums there are the songs labeled 1,2,3,4,5,ect

i go to put them onto the ak120 and s**t hits the fan

some artists, albums, titles ect are right some are all over the place... this is really frustrating

i cannot go and tag thousands of songs...my iriver ihp-140 didnt have any trouble and the songs are in the same format, files, ect

iriver plus 4 is useless, in iriver plus 4 it has the artist, albums, titles, songs ect.....then when i load it, they dont .load like they are on iriver...

im going to pop a clonazepam this is too much

the ak120 sounds amazing but my god why does this have to be so hard, it doesnt make any sense to me.

I met the same problem in the past.  Maybe you can try as follows:

1.  High-light the captioned albums,

2.  Right click and select "Get Info"

3.  Message "Are you sure you want to edit .... " please select "Yes"

4.  Select "Option"

5.  Under "Part of compilation", please select "NO" and click "OK"

Then you can put the amended albums back to AK120 and check wether the problem has been solved or not.  If OK, change all the albums one by one.

Personally, I think amps might modify the sound signature slightly but won't improve the sound of AK120.

The one amp I love to pair with AK120 is the KOJO Technology KM-01. In addition to the great sound from AK120, KOJO made it silky smooth with added warmth.

Really wonderful!

so far i am impressed with everything but the battery life,it is a real problem to have a device costing this much that has to be recharged every 9 hours as people suggest..and less if you use dsd i understand

Device costing $2400 = must have many 'features' like fancy UI with big screen and processor to run it, WiFi, DSD, dual DAC's, large memory, etc, etc. which uses more juice than lesser DAP's so the weakest link is the battery with a smaller run time.

I must really be the odd one out on headfi. As much as I love music I never listen for more than two hours straight so battery life has never been a problem. Of course if your using it as background whilst working or studying I can see the point with battery life but then that begs the question why have a high quality DAP in the first place if your listening is as that as I know when I listen and work I am not really getting the full benefit of hearing all the subtleties as my mind is elsewhere. Often I just use my iTouch series one for things like that as the SQ matters less than battery life.

gee,you mean you never go on a long plane ride or other situations where you cant get to a charger or have the time to charge it....the cowon x7 which i also have can go 100 hours without a charge...i am not suggesting that kind of endurance for the 240 but surely for 2400 dollars they can do better than 9 hours? If it was 20 hours or even lets say 14 or 15 i suppose that would be acceptable, but 9??
