Yes I second this, as I too have the Momentums, P5, and P7.  And I think that the P7 sounds very similar to the Momentums without the comfort issue.

is the AKG Q701 better than all the headphone listed ? so that i can order that one.

The 701 has to have an amp! Without it and a good one at that your wasting money I feel. Give them a great quality amp though and they are great!

Fortunately all of you are here : thank for the advice, i don't have an AMP, so i will buy the AKG K551 which impedance is 32 ohms, i hope that is fine. isn't it ?

i owned a custom one pro long time ago, as from my memory, the bass is quite strong and the high is not bad as well

Get the one without the mic, AKG K550. K551 is inferior to the original one due to its mic system.

You should also consider Philips Fidelio L2. It's not a closed back but from what I've heard it sounds fantastic! And pricing is not that steep.. (~€200). I'm getting one in 2 weeks, already ordered.

Yup I agree - only Momentum over-ears work for me.

For on ear I love the pairing of my DT1350's with the AK 120 though you have to turn the volume up a little more as they are not as sensitive as IEM's

The DT1350 is a great choice too.

Another good pairing is the Senn HD25mkII.

Am looking forward to trying out the new T51p tomorrow. Anyone tried these?

Anyone tried the DT1350/CC version?

I'm definitely interested in the new Beyer T51P.  I look forward to hearing your impressions!

Hello everybody,

Finally this is my choice :

1st choice :  Focal spirit Classic

http://www.son-video.com/Rayons/Casque-hifi/Focal-Spirit-Classic.html

2nd choice : Audio Technica ATH-ANC9 : to be used with AK120; i don't have an amp. do you think that it can work correctly with AK120 without an amp ?

http://www.fnac.com/Casque-Audio-Technica-ATH-ANC9/a6219860/w-4

it's not easy, specially as i can't test before buying.

thank you

sam

Any RWAK120 owner here can share if the mod change the treble to it original AK120? I find the treble is a little too bright for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I had my AK120 since The Show Newport.  Recently I wanted to get the USB DAC working.  I moved overseas and won't have my main rig for awhile.  I can't seem to get it to play any sound out of any device.  My Macbook pro in MacOS or windows7 or other computers.  Is anyone else having problems?

I was on 1.32 but updated to 1.33 now since I thought it might fix the DAC issue.  Any word on the next firmware from AK?
