Till August cannot afford anything, all I can do is thought experiment that is all. I will skip the 334, i am really interested on their new IEM.

I don't see why the concerns? You could easily sell the IEM at a minor loss (maybe $100 at most...). Plus factoring in its a universal and a highly sought after one (means higher resale value and it will sell fast).

Well I look forward to your experiment with the 1Plus2 and AK120 :). I'm hearing they are a killer pairing. I'm still a bit skeptical though with my experience with the RWA AK100....

Looking forward to it, getting a hybrid IEM is 100% on my list I just don't know when. I hope a pair of them makes their way to ljoker, I trust his review and average_joes review more than my own ears :D

Iriver I'm curious will you have proper m3u playlist support on the AK120? Honestly I think that should be available on both the 100 and 120 models. It's a matter of software coding. The DX100 and I'm sure the Hifiman 901 has these features. Although the DX100 does have some bugs but it works. For me having all my music organized in the manner that I want is very important and playlists make searching through music a breeze. Since it was all put in the order I want it's that must faster and organized to search though. The playlist support I had on my former RWA AK100 was deplorable and not acceptable at all for a DAP at that price range. I hope you guys can get that sorted out for the consumers.

Can someone please conform if AK120 can be used as a USB DAC?

The AK100 has an optical input, so assume its the same for the AK120...

Though it isn't USB

Quoting from the first post on this thread : "Optical & USB external DAC function". I am sure it must be some setting which must be turned on. I really hope it does have it as it will make my life so much easier.

Thanks...I've only got the Ak120 for a few days so will need to spend more time with it to give any impressions/comparison...

What I can say is that if you're looking for bang-for-the-buck and don't care about size/form factor there will be many better ways to upgrade than getting this DAP

I think this is targeted squarely at those who value portability and for the size/operability there isn't really any competition at the moment... imho I liked the 120 over the rwak100 enough to go with this overpriced toy..

Agreed... It actually fits me better than the shures or UE I owned earlier... speaking of which I'm really intrigued by the 846...

I am inline for a first batch delivery, being told end of this month, beginning of June. I am very excited by the Shure SE846, probably more so than any of my other IEMsnormal_smile%20.gif

They are around $1,300 from a store that serves the international market. Probably cheaper locally in Japan if you can find someone to buy on your behalf and ship to you.

However, they are still out of stock I think.........................

I'm really jealous! First you got all three ultimate portable AK combos to compare AND you are also getting the first 846s.... I possibly might have waited on my ak120 purchase had you posted your upcoming three ways AK battle earlier... tho I think I had given up on any stacks but when do we head fiers really know what we wanted lol
