I'm still lost on this though. Maybe later one of you can post an example of this magical tag that I've never seen before :P. I just don't see it on my end. Basically everything I'm seeing is available on the main menu of the program. Must be some rated X tag action going on to cause such disruption. evil_smiley.gif

mp3tag for tagging. Mediamonkey for library management. Itunes is a nightmare to me.

Use XLD. You can embed the album art there and AK120 will always shows it. iTunes uses different library for album art so not really embedding the album art to the file.

Don't forget Foobar for converting between lossless formats :). Foobar is superb in this regards. While I may no use it for music (cPlay FTW) it's one of the most versatile program in this respects.

I'll check all of them out. I've media monkey but it's abit cumbersome to redo an entire list on my windows 7 since mac will be my main source to transfer music to my rwak100 or 120.

Anyone heard of metadatics

It was a tag called compilation that had somehow got added to two of my albums and as Mim correctly pointed out, MP3Tag only shows tags you already have columns for. I went in to the settings, added a compilation column and also added it to the side panel, so I could change them all at once. When I loaded the album, there it was in the compilation column, that bloody '1' that has been tormenting me. I set the entire column to blank, saved out the files and what do you know... It works fine now.

Thanks again Mim. You don't know annoying it was getting  biggrin.gif

So i have 202 songs that come up unknown artist, that is why i am just using files.  Is the Metadatics program a good way to remedy this?  I don't mind using files except that you have to go through music, sd1 and sd2 to check for a piece of music instead of just being able to go to artist and there it is.

I'm PC based, but if Metadatics is anything like MP3Tag, then yes, you should easily be able to get all your files displayed correctly and with cover art etc. Using the folder structure to select your music is a total pain that can easily be avoided
