Ha ha, yes I was about to edit my post as I just found you had posted that very same thing about three days ago  biggrin.gif

I'm determined to get to the bottom of this, as it is now driving me nuts! I wouldn't mind but everything else is tagged and labled with full cover art (even huge art works fine) apart from this one album called '1' at the very top of my list of albums.

Try to check if nothing is special in these albums names...like special characters or for instance I found out that an album could not be named 'album'

Gggggrrrrrrrr!!!!  mad.gif

Still can't fix it! This is infuriating!!

If I was to stick a couple of these tracks on dropbox, would someone mind trying them on their device for me? If I have to scan my device one more time, only to see that stupid '1' folder sitting at the top grinning at me..... I will go MENTAL!!!!

I guess you could send me a link in PM. I'll check it a bit later though.

Did you check my above post? Also, usimg mp3tag, erase all hidden useless tags, such as compilation, etc.

Thanks Jim, if I can't get I sorted, I may well take you up on that later :)

I'm not sure what tags would constitute useless Mim. I can't see what might be out of the ordinary.

I've attached a screenshot of one of the offending albums below. Maybe someone wiser than I can see what potentially obvious issue, is staring me right in the face

I may have a solution for you. You say the album title is what is giving you trouble? Well looking at that title it looks excessively long. Remove "Belle and Sebastian" from the Album title. Instead make it Late Night Tales Vol. 2. I'm not guaranteeing anything but that might fix it. I don't know what else could cause the issue. Maybe try using an updated FLAC tag? I don't know how old your FLAC tagger is? (doubt that is the issue though). Maybe even consider re-encoding this album. Meaning blow it back up to WAV and then go back to FLAC and retag. Also I'm notcing you have one Artist tag as "Broadcast" and the other as "Belle and Sebasttian" Which is it? You normally keep Artist and Album Artist as the same name (so both Belle and Sebastian).

I will check tomorrow I am on my phone now, but know that you cannot see all tags in this window. You have to select all files and click on the tag tool on the upper toolbar, then you will see all tags.

If nothing else works, I will try shortening the album name. Regarding the artists, it is because Belle and Sebastian mixed this selection of music. So each individual track has it's own artist, but the album has it's own artist. That shouldn't be the problem though as I have other albums where it works fine.

You bloody genius Mim!!!

There's a hidden tag, found under 'Extended tags' that says... Wait for it.... Compilation 1! It only seems to be on the two misbehaving albums as well. So it seems that the AK120 prioritises the compilation tag, above the album name tag, when arranging albums.

Thanks again Mim. I was starting to lose it there  biggrin.gif

Glad I could help. I still advise to remove all such tags from other album too...always more simple.

Exactly what tags are you talking about mimou? Are you talking about in the tools option. The read and write section? For mp3tag? For Write I have nothing check marked. For Read and Remove I have all the boxes check marked. Throw me a bone here if I'm missing something. If I can get my tags even more squekky clean I'm all game :P.

There is a tag tool up there in the tool bar, which shows you all tags. You select all concerned files and click on the icon that is a blank sheet of paper with a pencil pointing to it. Then erase anything you do not use. Be careful, you cannot go back. I Cannot show you pics as I am in bed in my phone. If you do not find it, shoot me a pm tomorrow and I will show you. It did not matter on the dx100, but on the aks, it definitely removed some bugs.

I'm guessing it's this? So basically if I had extra tags it would show here? I'm a bit confused as I've never had an instance where I was never able to see additional tags from the main screen. I mean I've had instances with more than one tag type embedded in the file and it shows it (such as ID 3.2 (FLAC). In those instances I would just simply remove the 3.2 tags and all it cherry.

Yes it would show here. They do not show in the main screen as their column is not selected to appear.
