Can anyone who owns both do a test with a normal FLAC track?

Thanks

I'll be receiving a Tera player from a friend sometime this week or next week. I'll do the comparison for you.

Who says ? With what iems ? First of all, you could not compare on Flac. Anyways they are just different. I have compared 1Plus2 and SE5 on the same tracks on both players and what I would say is:

  • The AK120 has more punch, better dynamics, more separation between layers, and maybe more details
  • The Tera sounds more organic, fluid, all the layers have a cohesiveness and a togetherness that other players do not match. The mids are a bit more forward, but so natural. The bass and percussions in general have a very tactile tone. All in all, I would say it is more natural sounding

No, I thought the "double" upgrade is that now it can magically play TWO files at once.  Double Playback ala double exposure in the latest cameras where one track is overlaid on another one picked by artificial intelligence.

No FLAC still, but now you don't need headphones anymore...just the Tera and you're good to go.

Yo Vinnie,

Guess what the new AK-100 color (available in Aug) is called:

"Limited edition AK100 in special 'Red Wine' colour."

How ironic......that 'colour' has been available from you for quite awhile now....lol

New rwak100 coming in red wine too? Quality supposed to be as smooth as that bottle of ... Lol. Ah yes vinnie you managed to come to some conclusive evidence about ak100 gold sounding better because of the paint? Or?

So is the Tera Player sounding better then AK120 overall? I suppose that AK120 with the new firmware update should get even better, what do you guys think? I know for sure that TP is very natural and dark..Thats all I remember :(

Both are really good but different flavour. I'm using AK120 for rock, fusion, metal, prog. It's more aggresive than TP, more forward treble.

My TP + SE5 combo is for Jazz. It's better than AK120 in reproducing jazz. The bass are thick, piano has more weight, trumpet sounds amazing, no sibilance.
