No
..but I try all the daps on mega systems. Most cannot generate a soundstage on a large system and just collapses upon itself ..and sound awfully dull..

The AK120 and the 100 for that matter really does quite well.

I'm sure it can...especially with hi-rez stuffs playing right.  The biggest test to the AK120 analog stage is how does it measures up to a DAC in $500 to $1000 range.  Has anyone made such comparison?

Strongly suggest you listen to the 1.00 for sometime first and while for the 1.00 firmware became available before upgrading in case you like the 1.00 sound better. I know I do.

KK what about the 1.00 do you like better than the new release? I am just about to open my AK120!

Mainly the note weight.  Notes seems to attack with more authority and sustains better.  Decay is more smooth.  Congratz on getting the AK120!

At last.....huge congrats!

1.0 may just be better with the Miracles but I was never able to revert back to try:(

Thanks Rudi.  I am glad i listened to you.  I like it a lot better than the 801(which i actually really love).  The 120 is way more natural, accurate and controlled.  Another step up in technology i guess.  It is really blowing me away right now.  The es10s, that i just got esw11 earpads for(leather) may be the best i have ever heard them.  It doesn't drive the Ed8 quite as well as the es10 but it still drives them.  I just pulled out my Pico Power to experiment with the Ed8.  I really just finished mostly loading/charging and filling one micro card.  I will get a Toshiba eventually but the only one i could get my hands on for starters was a sandisk 32.  Thanks again for the encouragement, thus far it is one of the best things i have ever bought....really.

AK120 pairs perfectly with ES10, CK100PRO and EX-1000.

FYI everyone, I asked one of the support people at iRiver if the AK120 would support >64GB cards at any point and was told no, 64GB is the limit.

If anyone has anything larger working in their unit, do share smily_headphones1.gif

Yes it works and the AK120 supports exFAT so don't worry. Should work straight out of the box.

Would love to know when higher capacity cards would be available...

you thinking of having a punt on this Purk?... I already know your thoughts on WM-Z v AK100, are you thinking the AK120 is a step-up from the AK100?
