Shure SE846: A New In-Ear Flagship From Shure. Finally! (Impressions p26-28) - Page 160

I wanna ask you something guys.Which upgrade cable should I buy for 846 to upgrade trebles and to detail trebles ? IE800 is more detail and natural. And in some songs treble is in perfect wih IE800 but with 846 trebles are weak. Why is this ? I tried all filters. And I use white filters now for to test. And we meet today. With my friends from our forum.I tried IE800 and 846 with İbasso DX50.And IE800 shows perfect performance with DX50.Also trebles are so nice.But,846 isn't nice like IE800.

Why ? How can I redouble my 846's trebles ? I'm using with small olive tips. Which upgrade cable is best for 846 ? And should I buy more eartips for more detailed and beautiful trebles ?

For example:I'm listening Hans Zimmer-I'm Not A Hero (The Dark Knight Soundtrack). It is amazing with IE800.Stage,trebles,bass and details are full and amazing.

But I tried the same song with 846.It couldn't perform like IE800.

How can I fix it ?

Thanks...

Not to seem impertinent, by why not return the SE846 and keep the ie800 which you seem to really like. I love my 846 but we all perceive sound differently.

To answer your question, pure OCC silver cables with let you get that last bit of performance especially at the high end from the 846.

So ? Do you suggest silver cable right ? What is impertinent ? And which cable do you use ?

Impertinent means not restrained within due or proper bounds or rude.

I do suggest a pure OCC silver cable. I use a balanced silver cable with a balanced amp to squeeze that last bit of performance out of my 846.

Well I said if you like the ie800 so much why not stay with it and that could be perceived as rude. I like to always be polite on the forum.

Ok.I wrote wrong.I could ask you ''Did I do something wrong'' but nevermind.So you say like you said.But I wanna ask you something.Can't I compare 846 with IE800 or with another iem ? Why not ? I didn't mean IE800 amazing,perfect,so nice,etc.If I meant like this,sorry.

I only asked 846's trebles.And IE800 is just an example.I liked 846 too.But if I fix or upgrade trebles of 846 I will stay with it.If I can't,I will sell it.

I mean it is important decision for me.

How does this pairing correlate with the 1/8 rule? I've had trouble finding the correct values however I do know that the headphone amp section of the HTC 8X puts out 2.55V. Seems pretty powerful for low impedance iems. Perhaps too powerful according to 1/8 rule??

Sorry,I didn't understand this paragraph. My English is not perfect. :-) I can tell you something about power:8X is amazing with 846.And in volume at 8X:You know maximum is 30,but 22 is pretty enough. In some songs 18-20 level is pretty enough too.

What's a good price in Europe for these IEM? I found someone who sells them, but I'm not sure if the price is good.
