Are you saying that the bass in the SE846 sometimes "appears" when it's not supposed to? That's impossible. None headphone can do such thing. It's more likely that the SE846 are revealing something in the recording that you never had been able to hear before. Sorry but you keep given points to the SE846. smily_headphones1.gif

Unfortunately, I can't have them. Customs is exactly what I need but I can't have them as I'm still growing rapidly.

That's what I've kept telling people for 3 months on this thread — how can they possibly get those extremely overpriced IEMs from FitEar, AKG, FAD, and now Shure, when you can get yourself a pair of customs? It just doesn't make sense.

Moreover while some dealers claim that they'll get them by LATE September, the actual release date according to an AMAZON insider is January 2014.

Actually, the Earpods (Apple's current stock earbuds) are very good—they sound pretty good, perform better than several IEMs worth a lot more and have excellent build quality... and they even cone with a remote and mic! But, ain't it fun to trash those really awful iBuds?

Music if you are so adamant that the SE846 cannot possible measure up to customs why do you feel the need to tell those of us who preordered them. Are you acting as our conscience? I also find it interesting that you already condemn the SE846 without ever having listened to them. Are you clairvoyant as well as our conscience?

Managed to get myself a set of tg334 + twag v3 and comparing it with se846 with stock cable, currently contemplating which I will be keeping.

Damn!! my wallet is really feeling the pinch now. mad.gif

OMG, the vocal clarity of 846 is so clear that i feel tg334 is being "eq-ed" to have a better soundstage.

The feeling is like i am attending a live concert whereby on the 846, I am right upfront near the stage and hearing the singer live.

Whereas, on the 334, it is like I am hearing more echo (soundstage) and I might be near the mid or end section of the stage... and hearing the singer via the loud speakers.

Log back in again and then check the IEMs in my sig, the items I'm selling, the link to a thread I started 4 years ago….and then, in my profile, look under "music preferences". (but don't get too excited as I really don't like some of the bands you mention in your profile)

At least we agree on King Crimson. After examining your profile, I do not see that you own or have owed the SE846 so how can you state that custom IEMs are better? Again I ask are you clairvoyant?

Again, I ask you to check the IEMs in my sig, the items I'm selling, AND the link to the thread I started 4 years ago. Then, perhaps, re-read my original post...and if still not enough, read carefully my custom title.

As an attorney I have to say beautiful evasion. Based upon your profile, you have not owned or listened to the SE846 yet you compare them to customs. Again I ask ARE YOU CLAIRVOYANT?

Ok then, since you obviously did what I asked you to, then yes, yes, YES, I am indeed clairvoyant!

In my original post I said: "That's what I've kept telling people for 3 months on this thread — how can they possibly get those extremely overpriced IEMs from FitEar, AKG, FAD, and now Shure, when you can get yourself a pair of customs? It just doesn't make sense."

Now, I currently own the $1,300 AKG K3003 (actually paid $1,550 for it), the $1,000 FAD PF IX, the $1,000 FAD 1601SS, the $1,100 FAD FI-BA-SS, the $900 FitEar Parterre, the $900 Ocharaku Flat4-KAEDE, and have owned the $1,350 FitEar TG334 and the $600 FitEar F111 ---- ALL universal IEMs. The only custom IEM I've ever owned, the $850 Westone ES3X, was purchased over 4 years ago and has been up for sale for sale for 15 months. Need I go on? Or is that still too evasive?

So nice sarcasm except it takes a Ouija board, a slide rule and consultation with the Oracle at Delphi to realize it.
