I'm not trying to brag, but on my ad2k mkivs, I can feel down to 2Hz (not 20Hz), so your'e assumption that headphones can't go that low is wrong. I actually blew one of my ad2000 drivers before because I accidentally knocked up the volume when it was playing at 20Hz...had to buy another one.
All right then, let me rephrase my statement: I have yet to hear a headphone that can comfortably reach down to 20 Hz cleanly, without EQ, and without sounding like uncontrolled "one-note bass" where you can't even distinguish the frequencies. There are a billion headphones out there, too many for me to try out, and many too rare and exclusive for me to ever encounter in person.
Though now that I look that over, you said "feel down to 2 Hz", not "hear down to 2 Hz". Maybe you're looking for the tactile experience more than the aural one?
I'm fortunate in that I don't have any serious tinnitus problems, even while listening to cans with more prominent treble. However, I'm also unfortunate in another way; I can't really hear above 15 KHz at the ripe old age of 23, not without ridiculously jacking up the EQ. In addition, I've noticed imbalances in my ears' sensitivity at certain spots, especially down near the 20-30 Hz range. (Seriously, what's destroyed my hearing so fast? I don't like loud sounds in general...)
Anyway, maybe one day, you or someone else can give me an AD2000 audition and show me what a basshead can is capable of, perhaps shatter my expectations on headphone bass...but I will note that if it makes any sacrifices in soundstage and imaging for gaming, midrange/vocal reproduction or clear, sparkly treble, it probably won't win me over. What will truly impress me is a bass-extensive headphone that sacrifices none of those things. The MA900 came surprisingly close for the price, just losing out on the treble part and some sub-bass extension.
