Have to be one of the most comfortable headphones ,I've ever owned.

I'm listening to them with ..Taboo MKII >Metrum>Jriver.
Will come back ,after a few days, with some more impressions
Right now,I'm one happy head-fier.

MLE-A big TNX,for recommending these-so far ,they are outstanding.

Add another satisfied audiophile! biggrin.gif

The more this headphone gets exposure, the better. Maybe Sony will see the sudden surge of interest and start making a successor with thicker pads, and removable cable.

MLE,

I was only able to spend about 3 hours with them today..had to go to work.
I immediately went through all or,most of my test files, and,am trying to make some sort of comparison to my hd800,s-- there is a similarity, but the songs base is stronger, deeper, but, still clear ,well defined.

Don't want to over do it on impressions, until I have 100 hours on them

I tried to go back and order,2-3 more pairs, but they were not available at the $159- price
Thought I,d get a few pairs and give them out as Christmas gifts???
Lowest price
,I could find was $200.00
.anyway,more impressions to follow.
I,m totally blown away by these

SPREAD THE LOVE! Lol, I honestly thought about buying a second pair to send in for recabling and all of the bells and whistles.
Yes,that was my thought as well
My only concern now,is the quality of the pads--they seem a little flimsy
I went on eBay ,but couldn't,t find pads floor the ma900',or maybe I missed them?

Who does yours cabling?

I've never recabled a headphone. Just considering it.

Ah,one of those "all cables sound alike",,,guys---huh?

Mike

I've used a lot of different cables on the X1, and they all sounded 99.99999999% alike. The only differences were attributed to a large difference in cable impedance. If they were within 1.0ohm of each other, I wouldn't ever be able to tell them apart.

I mainly would recable the MA900 for better durability and because the stock cable is freakishly long.

Ok,so would you choose a copper ,copper/silver,or,pure slicer cable

Doesn't matter to me. Whatever is cheapest.
