Last week I stumbled across this blog

There is also a twitter account from this person

He has made lot of pictures from various custom IEM and also shared his finding on BA used , crossover .
Also there is information in shell making.

I just use google translate, but people from Japan can add here info from the findings.

Hi MoZo2,

 

SHURE says they don't use electric parts on SE846 for low-freq pass filters on this article(Japanease).

I think it means they don't use inductors to cut treble sounds.
