Before I post this as a bug, can someone confirm the following is correct:

1) Play a song, any song, by navigating to it through Category mode.

2) Navigate back to the Main Menu by pressing the Back key repeatedly.

3) Navigate to and choose Now Playing.

You should now be viewing the currently playing song.

At this point, if I press the Back button, it returns me to the Main Menu.  Is that the same for everyone?  There's no way of navigating from within Now Playing directly to the file hierarchy?  You have to navigate manually to the song via Folder or Category mode, right?

I can't believe some of the stuff that's been upvoted.  There are some basics that haven't been properly implemented and people have put Playlist Creation at the top of the list?  Nuts.  We're on our way to another Snakes On A Plane folks.

Before you get too down on the rest of us for having different priorities than you, you might want to read the bug list more carefully.

That one was even posted by Joe himself. They know about it, and are working on it.

Just got the "leather" HS9 case for my X5 from bigargainonline on ebay.  It's pretty bare bones, but so far I like it better than the silicone case.  Anyone else got it?

I also got the HS6 stacking kit for my E12 DIY but have been too busy just listening to the X5 by itself to try it out just yet.

They just got the HS7 hard case, which I'm thinking about picking up, as well.

here's a version with the scrolling "unreversed"

Gotta say, I didn't think I'd like the UI with the icons at the top BUT I think this modded firmware is MUCH more intuitive than the stock firmware.  Thanks!

Jury is still out for me on the UI layout. It's well done though.

+1 on the preferred unreversed scroll wheel. The other way feels very, very unnatural to me.

Got an issue that when I reach 2 bars of battery life I have a very short period of time before the X5 goes dark and runs out of juice.  Using FW 2.0

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Took about 4 hours to recharge fully after reaching two bars.

Yup. That's the one. Their DX90 cases look even better.

It's a total crapshoot when there are only 2 bars. I've noticed that it takes a while to get to 2 bars, but then it's a steep drop off from there. It would be nice if the battery indicator was more linear. Is there a bug report for this?

Had this digital battery indicator problem on gear for years. Cameras, phones, GPS, Kobo, etcetera. After half useage gone on indicator I just expect about 10-20% left!
