V2.0 is on the official FiiO website: http://www.fiio.com.cn/news/index.aspx?ID=100000156825971&page=1

That link shows FW 1.20? Has 2.0 been removed? I can't find it anywhere now either.

Have they been removed for a reason that could be detrimental to your x5??

Did you try Save As?

@goldendarko  You need to unzip it first.  If you are using Windows, highlight the file, right click your mouse button and select "extract".  It will then unzip the file into whatever folder you have loaded it from.  To install the FW2.0 file, follow the instructions in the manual, which BARRA has kindly copied on http://www.head-fi.org/t/661411/fiio-x5-thread-info-updated-on-jan-17th-2014/7875#post_10497727   (post 7877 on page 526)

Don't try and open the fw file, you won't be able to.  That is to be copied on to an SD card, as shown in the instructions.

Why on Earth would they take down FW2.0? It works great. SQ, speed, gapless, all great! Sure, some people have commented on it and continued to express their wishes but I don't see the reason for taking it down.

having used v2.0 all day, i can only think FiiO took it down because they're going to upload it to a faster, more central server?

Just got it.  Man that black plastic case is a pleasant surprise.  Totally more beautiful in person.
