Very nice ideas you have there mate! :beerchug:

I hope FiiO considers this. Especially the no. 3 he mentioned, whether it's a software or just a library file generator program. At least the effort spent on generating a library file is done seemlessly on a PC, instead on the device itself. This is very useful if you have very large number of music you plan on putting in the X5. Having the ability to create a library file from the device is undoubtedly a must but I think having an option to create it somewhere else should be possible too. :) Maybe sometime I or someone can make such generator for FiiO :). I really think this is helpful.

Also, I am still hoping maybe they can give the exact numbers of output power of the X5? I am still waiting for their answer.

It's been discussed and I think it was ClieOs that pointed out the SOC uses an I2S bus to the DAC so likely converted in the SOC.

I agree, plus it would be nice to have an off-player playlist generator that the X5 could support.  That's my biggest complaint with the new DAPs...I have several playlists I like to listen to and want the option to have more than one on the player.

They already went to CES last year, and they will attend CES this year as well. South Hall, ground floor.

The initial batch was supposed to be sent out on 4th Jan and should be on sale later on this week. There will be a batch of 2000units two weeks after. Not sure how long your friend will stay in China for. Good luck

I'm not sure the X5 will have support for languages past CN on launch?

I suspect it will include English, but even if it doesn't there's no reason to let that stop someone buying it, since future firmware updates will soon rectify any missing languages, and it's not rocket science to enjoy using the DAP with Chinese-only menus, if one is patient and open-minded.

That of course is just me. I am incredibly bad with recognizing asian symbols continuously.

It's a jumble of lines to me personally.

Sure, Asian symbols would be just a jumble of lines to me, too, but that wouldn't stop me using the DAP! It really won't be long until the more complete firmwares will be released, anyway.

If I had the money available, and the DAP available, I'd buy it, and manage OK until extra languages are added.
