The Fiio X5 Thread - Page 178

I'd surely buy that ZX-1 if I have the cash, but given that I'm not rich, and the chance of X5 outperforming ZX-1 in terms of SQ, I'll definitely wait for more impressions. :)

I see I'll have to start selling some of my 5 iPod's to fund this,... :L3000:

same here for me

I think I will sell my sealed box of pro coppers to fund it

350$ is pretty steep on a player especially for indian standards

you don't have to get an x5.  Gotta think about your means and if you'd benefit from them

I have gr07 mk2 and will get dunu dn 1000 in next 6 months

and still only clip+
btw will it be miles ahead of clip+ when I am never gonna use a 24 bit file and no plans for headphone either in near future

so the amp section is pretty much wasted here, same as x3

Speaking as someone who owns the DX50 and AK120 the DX50 is nowhere close to being on par with the AK120. As for the X5, couldn't tell ya hope its everything and a bag of chips though.

well with the AK120 budget, you can buy the DX50 and plenty of cash left for a TOTL portable amp.... but it is not the prestigious astell and kern.. lol

ak 120 is just too damn pricey

untill one has competing earphones or headphones to pair with it,its of no use imo

but majority of ppl who have ak 120 have already got kilker cans so its all fine

as for me,i may get eiter x1 or x5

am gonna skip x3 due to interface and tagging problems

hm... i dont have any interface nor tagging problems with the x3.... I mainly use FLAC, it is very stable...but it makes sense to skip X3 given X5 is coming soon...

Would Fiio consider release a docking station for their X series DAP? It can do true RCA line out, Optical, Coaxial, remote control, USB DAC or work as a standalone transport to send digital signal to other desktop DAC by playing files from the SD card?

Apparently, it is not easy to find docking connectors of sufficient quality.

Prestigious????? Sorry, if I want prestige I'll go out and try doing something that is noteworthy to my fellow man not buy a DAP. But hey, whatever floats your boat there Igor.

Um, yeah, I gotta express some confusion here as well.   What makes Astell & Kern prestigious?
