No unfortunately I don't, but Oyaide, distributor of Fiio in Japan, only received it yesterday for today's (& tomorrow's) e-earphone festival. So I had a chance to play with it today.

Oh okay then. Still maybe in the future you might get your hands on it?

Quick question since you at least held it.

How does it feel in the hands?

What material is each section seem to be made of?

How easy is it to scroll with the wheel?

That must be exciting holding one of the very first out of production unit. wink.gif

Sorry I can't expand much at the moment cos I'm still out for dinner with JHA & Cypherlab folks.

In short to your questions, solid & smooth. Good classy construction & nothing to exhibit "cheap" at all. Heavier than the ZX1.

Thanks understood, quite a teaser Sean. Happy dinner and have fun at the festival.

But I think I need a quick instructional lesson on the button functions though. It took me awhile to work out the Main Menu, back, forward, etc.

I'm sure it becomes second nature once used a bit but I suspected there may be a learning curve due to the button placement.

Yes, definitely. After a short while it'll just be muscle memory.

I've had a little to drink tonight so it's best not to talk about SQ and just show pix :-

It's a mighty fine looking beast...

To me, it looks really nice and very user friendly. Also the build quality seems very high too. I'm getting more interested.

What's the material of the scroll wheel ? Looks like there's a 'leather' texture to it redface.gif

Nice shots. Looks much better than the preproduction shots. Kinda retro cool. Size seems friendly as well.

It's textured metal, like the knurls on a lens barrel. This particular scroll wheel cover has actually been on the butt end of a lot of jokes and jibes in the Chinese forums. If only we hired AnakChan to be our product photographer redface.gif Now apparently we have to change the disc texture design (again) or even move to a completely different disc material

So the international version will be different ? They do look much better in these above pictures though... Maybe you could also get the silver parts to be black as well to match the rest of the player and give it a cool understated look.
