might be our beloved X3 retires soon after the release of X5(may be max mar'14 production ends/stocks will be cleared by then?) and out of curiousity, u mind posting the approximate figure of X3 sold (number of units sold up-to-date), if not precise.

waiting for x-mas bargain though!

To James:

It would be nice if the X5 had software that allowed easy downloading of music through iTunes.  I myself am deciding  between a separate DAC/AMP for an iDevice vs a non-Apple DAP.  I love the organization of iTunes and have been using it for years.  After reading through the forums, I see that there are many more like myself.

X5 + iTunes download? Impossible! Apple is a very closed source... They don't share their OS/program with others xD

There are apps that automatically look for and pull the music out of the iTunes file directory.  Not a sync within the iTunes software.  Something like that built into the software would be nice.

iTunes automatically consolidates all of your files in a 'Music' folder, which is further organized by artist and then album.

Can't you just copy and paste that folder in to a microSD, especially when considering that Artist-->album--> ALAC/FLAC/MP3/AAC is how most people have their music organized on their DAP anyway?

I would rather enjoy the freedom to drag and drop files n folders into the sd card using window explorer than dealing with another bulky itune-like software

+1 > Why Apple/iTunes coming into picture on this "valuable thread" especially "on a DAP"?. This is totally a different entity.

+2 iTunes is damn near a virus with the way it worms itself through a system

And I don't expect it either. As long as it can drive my DT1350/HE-400 beautifully I'm sold! And I'm pretty sure it can as those HPs aren't that demanding. :) March it is!

I surely do hope that mechanical wheel is of good quality (which I think it is). I have a sony digicam that has a tiny mechanical wheel that when not used for a long time (2 weeks or so), it gets crazy! When you just touch it not even rotating it it moves to a random direction like crazy! I hate when that happens, I hope the X5 won't have issues like that, so annoying.

He didn't, I just assumed it would use a rockchip processor, What else could it possibly use?

I see, so its not rockchip, Its that Ingenic 4670b chip I see in the X3, its speed of 600mhz seems slow compared to say the rockchip in DX50's 1ghz, but I'm sure the firmware is way better than rockchip so no biggie. Also What does the Foresee chip do in the X3?
