At least with Sirius I get some control over my crappy sounding music.

There are SQ reasons to leave this out as well since you are adding in an RF antenna to a device where HF noise is already an issue.

Well I do listen to radio on the go, specifically news radio because it´s also part of my professional duties, couldn´t care less about listening to music radio

So it´s a must for me, seems again my answer will be the upcoming sony F886, they keep fm radio in and I don´t think noise will be an issue, hx/mx master section of sony´s do avoid noise interference because of that proprietary circuit there´s no ad-da /dac stage

but if fiio had this add in I would buy it

The DAC is listed on the first post of this thread as PCM1792DAC

Oh no, not again.

I have just browsed through some of the pages, is there a release date yet ( I'll speak for myself and say I don't want to see James having to run naked through the streets) and is there a price. The end of the year is coming up fast...

I'm hoping this will keep the great tonality of the X3 while expanding the space and reducing the bass a little.

Keeping in mind fiio-s value for money attitude and X5 being more expensive than DX50, it should be "better" than DX50. We\ll see soon, exactly how better it is...

For me is a really promising DAP and could be my first Fiio product, the end of the year looks very good for audio lovers

What's wrong with that DAC?

+1 ?

I suspect you're just not happy with its signature vs. the rest of your chain, but if it's an issue that's less subjective, I'd especially like to get your elaboration.

Thanks,

Mike

At least try to hear it before assuming you won't like it. And the vice versa applies too. I'm definitely gonna have to audition it before i decide to spend a few hundred bucks on it. That said, I'm still excitedly waiting for its release.

Just the sound quality of X3 has me smiling, I can only imagine what the X5 will be like. If it's even 10% better sound quality than the X3 I'll be very happy, but my guess is that it'll be more like 20%. (Subjetively for me of course, otherwise numbers make no sense I know)

DAC is the top level DAC from TI I believe. Really what's wrong with it? You guys want another Wolfson like X3, DX50, AK1X0 and all other daps from Asia that I can't name now?

I hope this TI DAC will do a good job, I already have 3 devices with Wolfson DAC, including one DAP with two Wolfson, that enough, it's time to change for me
