I apologize for going off topic with this guy. I respect your opinion, please respect mine as well. Please realize that what sounds unreasonable and illogical to you may sound reasonable and logical to me. Let us not get personal and attack each other like kids. With that said:
1) I did not say I have to have a HDD. Battery life of 2.5'' HDDs has been improving and is quite reasonable currently. You can get 1TB SSD for $650 now. I am willing to pay that much, just like some people are willing to pay for DAPs priced at >$800. Please respect different opinions.
2) I did not expect a DAP to have all those features you mentioned in your post, which was indeed unreasonable :-) especially the highlighted part. I made the poll as a single-choice poll, instead of a multiple-choice one, because I wanted voters to think/weight carefully and keep expectations reasonable.
3) This will be my last post with you on "sample size". Anyone who has learned and passed basic statistics can chime in. Whether or not 1000 is small depends on your study population, sample deviation, hypothesis and many criteria. I see that you are medical student: go to PubMed, read some good clinical studies published in Nature Medicine and see how many studies have sample size of less than 1000. You be the judge yourself. Ask your statistics professor humbly if you don't understand. Take this from a PhD who has earned As in statistics.

It's power is no where near strong enough. Tests can say anything but if it's not even deemed valid from the get go then its results are all moot.
You want a HDD? Batterly life would be crap on the thing. SSD? 500gb ssd is way north of 400 bucks alone. People need to be reasonable and logical in what should be expected. I'd love a 1tb dap with a 1 week long battery life, dual sabre dacs, full size usb port, 2 sd card slots, 1920 x 1080 screen w/ wireless qi charging while im at it...and they pay me to take it off their hands.

Super slim (slimmer than a pencil) 500GB hard drive is available now.
My point is, since two full-sized SD slots is not an option for X5 currently, OTG host function is a smart work-around solution.
The poll was not designed to be a scientific research. It is there to show a trend. Whether or not the trend is significant needs work from a statistician using Chi-square test or similar test. The poll options should also be altered if we want to be scientifically rigorous. I would not be so quick to say that sample size is too small, power is not enough, or trend is not significant. It depends on your target market population and hypothesis. My gut feeling is that 82 vs a handful would be a significant trend in chi square test, but my training in science and law tells me not to make such a statement without solid data/evidence. I would believe it if a statistician demonstrates such.
