BTW, am I the only one who find it heart breaking to see the first X5 picture with a bose headphone @.@ No offense, I am definitely not a fan of Bose's sound signature but I am a fan of their active NC

I guess it's the FPS problem; I noticed how Joe commented that it was so fast that he had a hard time picking the correct menu :D

@ James, now the X5 is basically ready to be released, can you give us a more accurate figure for battery life, playing Hi-Rez files, please?

Thanks.

I prefer those supra-aural headphones, cheap but yet reduces noise by say, 80%? :D

And after 3-5 years it's life, there's a need to re-build with new ear impressions or it ends there(re-custom) and will be on sale on ebay......due to our ear canal's fit issue.

* It shows that Bose AE has a reference sound to audition.

** No worries Billy to feel guilt or ashamed of ...... All about Bose is over priced for their sound.for example-What would we do if an AE/OE series is priced $50?

Hmmm... I thought ear impressions can just be replaced a la replacing those cushions on earbuds? (Not very sure about CIEMs myself, except for their great sound like Fitears)

Anyway, how durable do you guys think the mechanical wheel of the X5 will be (compared to normal buttons)?

No Problem, nothing wrong posting opinions in a open forum but, truth is, edit> FiiO can't be compared to a non-similar DAPs. that's about it.  You don't have to feel sorry about to anyone for that matter...... c'mon.

It's too early to comment precisely.....but so far, what James revealed, we can expect bit more than that, assured. fingers crossed until dec pass.

Seems like both of you need to follow your own advice and grow a little?? Just saying, open your minds and have a little tolerance.

No where does it say we can't post about other daps for comparisons sake...kinda what a forum is for...

:beerchug:

Hmm.....you are absolutely rite on topic dude. Actually Amber was commenting the other user and my reply to it.

That was supposed to be the punchline but seeing how it could have created another flame war here...

And yes, I am sure that the X5 will be another good DAP here! Hopefully the reviews (from China) will be up soon so that we can judge for ourselves :)

James,

Will you guys have a X5 unit at the Tokyo portable audio festival, like you had the X3 last time?

James you guys should make a beastly X7. Something heavy as a brick with the power of the E12 running ES9018-2M.

No sense in making another HM-901/DX100 brick.

A compromise is needed, to some degree. I'd settle for no more than 70% of the weight &/or 70% of the size of the HM-901/DX100 bricks, with 70% of the power and 80% of the SQ.

Well we already have X5 and X3 for people who want a balance in weight, battery life, portability etc.

Why not a beastly one for people who don't mind the weight or size? Look how well the HifiM8 is doing and that thing is huge. LOL.

The difference between the X7 and HM-901/DX100 will be that it will be cheaper... which is important. And the Fiio UI is shaping up to better too. I'm strong man with big arms and I carry a giant bag around to work. I don't mind the weight or size. Make it a brick as long as it sounds awesome and has plenty of juice for all headphones.
