Music -> Artist -> Album->Songs sorted by track number

instead of

Music -> Artist ->All Songs by that Artist

we will try this structure in our X5 but so far it is just our plan. sorry.

*Are there any build pictures yet?

Is it possible to make it small around ak100 size? smily_headphones1.gif
Would hope it'll fit inside a pelican 1010 case with space for earphones

no worries:)

even if it doesn't work out it still sounds like an excellent device. For the time being I'll just wait for more pictures.

Why? I thought you were saying GUI on the X5 will be much better than that on the X3. Or did you mean the looks only?

I do understand that you don't have "Artist->Albums->Tracks" on the X3 because your Chinese customers don't care about albums so you didn't know there was gonna be demand for it. But after all the X3 discussions now you do know. And still don't plan to implement it?

Sure I'm not the only one for whom the ease of navigation means more than pretty visuals.

not, it is not because Chinese people don't need such features.

in X3, if we want to add this feature, the firmware must be re create from the bottom layout. ( not sure if this make sense, but it means we have to begin from zero ).

but for X5, it is a total new model to us, so we can start from zero and add this . and them we can add this to X3 when we have time in 2014 . you can think X3 is a building already finished and what we can do is make some small change. but X5 is a new building and just start from paper.

USB audio output also works completely fine with Centrance M8 family. I am hoping James can use some of his magic on there and make our dreams come true.

one thing I need to say that X3 still has the biggest output power compared with some new DAPs, that is why we are considering maybe people don't need such high power output.

in this way, it can improve the battery life, and control the heat, of course, save some money in the cost.

I think it is a fair trade, considering people usually use amps to drive hard cans.

James but please, I would like to get an answer. I didn't hear it with my ears but many people states X3 has a warmish sound signature. Will X5 have a neutral reference type sound signature? Without being warm or bright?

The X3 is measured as near ruler flat.

Sound signature is very dependent on what you drive with the X3.

For example my orthos are on the bright side with the X3.
