Don't know when (or price). But yes, sdxc - up to 2T. Which is sufficient, but my understanding is that sdxc cards >64G don't exist yet (and when they do, will be expensive). The X5's dual card slots seems more appealing to me personally. Should be an interesting battle nonetheless!

It seems Studio Mast Sound is most always proclaimed as the achievement by a dac. Interesting that Audio Note UK still will prefer a 500 dollar vinyl spinner to their 50,000 plus dac unit. So what is Sudio mast sound? To me that could be anything from music that has been processed through multiple caps and electronics and recorded in different parts of the world and combined to a more purist approach with the performance performed at one place and with minimalist miking and excellent recording techniques, whatever that is. And so it goes.

What is Studio Master sound? It's a phrase cooked up by a marketing department. wink.gif

No, that chip has nothing to do with the DX50, or the FiiO X5 (the other thread where he posted that link)
