you'd have to double check on that one. I believe they do if the unit is faulty due to their mistake not your accidents.

So you say Ibasso is willing cover at no additional cost? cool... inspires confidence in me.

In Austria BMW gives only two years full warranty, more years you must buy. I know competition is high in the States, but never thought BMW dealer would do something similar in Canada, weird. I do not know if you bought brand new Bavarian but i had two brand new cars (not BMW) and have experience with warranty, actually nice have, so now i am not prepared to have a car if out of maker warranty.

Thanks telling about Ibasso, i did not know they handle shipping costs both ways, very nice :-)

Do you mean iBasso will pay the shipping cost for sending the unit back to factory for repair? If yes, how this thing works?

I also heard that there is always a problem to send the units back to China because they may stuck in China custom for weeks or months.

Anyone has experienced this issue?

They did that for me with the DX100 due to it coming to my house DOA. They reimbursed me for my shipping back to them. I don't think they will cover you unless the unit comes to your house defective as is. So they are offering more than a years worth of warranty? Are you guys not getting things mixed up like on the DX100. They offer to cover labor free of charge for 10 years on the DX100 but you have to pay for the parts after the first year.

Totally due, I heard you can even drop it's suspension by a whopping 6 inches, gives a whole new meaning to LOW and TIGHT bass ;3

Considering your avatar pic, I'm surprised you forgot to mention that iBasso will be offering a neon pimping kit.

In other news, James (Fiio) appears to have made an inexplicably bizarre engineering decision on the X5, which (IMO) may scupper it before it's even released:

200 - 250 mw, it already enough to drive all IEM, and for big cans, maybe E12 will be the best option .

I hope the DX50's amp section doesn't prove too weak, by comparison with it's bigger brother. Obviously, there will be some compromise, but I just hope it's not too excessive.

DX50 does 9V peak-to-peak or 3.1V rms at high gain according to their website. This is about 300mW into 32ohms as far as I can tell. It's good enough for me. I wouldn't be against even more juice but at this price I gotta be happy with for now.

One of the main reasons for me to get a DX50 or any other DAPs to replace my Clip+ is so I can ditch the amp and keep my portable rig as simple as possible.  I guess that revelation about the X5 will make my wallet a bit happier.
