i'm wondering if the area around the buttons and the screen is made of plastic or aluminium?
If plastic would that whole area be encased in the glass screen? Assuming it's glass...
They never made ready units prior to order and providing shipment dates in the first place, the case shipment was delayed for whatever reason and the whole thing just derailed the rest of the schedule.
I'd rather want to wait than get something half backed that I would have to return. iBasso wanting to repair the damage shows that they are attending to their customers. I am happy with their decision.

Funny enough I did not get the email other than my question about the USB port compatibility so sounds like they haven't reached everyone yet. I don't think that they'll be shipping the dap partially to some of us. I think it's most likely that they are trying to deal with a large email list.

Getting an extra battery is not a shabby trade off, at least it shows some customer satisfaction from their part....believe me, that is saying a lot in today's economy with the companies out there.

caracara, just ignore the post and if you feel inclined hit the red flag icon on the bottom right of his post. The good thing about head-fi is the MOD's are diligent on here concerning deletion of rude and overly aggressive posts. The ignore function also works pretty good on this site. Anyways, yesterday I ordered an OTG cable from fleabay for cheap, under 10 USD with shipping, from Hong Kong. Hopefully it isn't a dud. I'll keep everyone posted.
