That's exactly what happened to me. I went from being a bass-head, to learning about 320 mp3's and lossless, to eventually using good equipment. Now I appreciate the whole sound spectrum equally, but I feel that I'll always strive for quality bass since that's the first aspect of sound I really loved.
The quality of the mids and highs are just as important as the bass, but without a solid bass giving a "foundation" to the music then it just sounds wrong, thin etc... Unfortunately once you get to the point that you demand high quality bass, mids and treble, this is where things start to get expensive Even if headphones have amazing bass, if the mids and highs are not good then they would not be keepers for me.... Would like to hear some more reviews of these before possibly importing them from japan
