In the mean time I ordered some Shure srh1540s. Hope the extra pads work well with the JVCs. Has anyone tried Shure pads on the s2000s?

hmm, I ordered mine, and other sets, from Japan and they went right through jfk. From shipment out of Japan it took like 4 days for them to get delivered to me in Brooklyn. Anyway you can check up on the reason for your delay? They might still be waiting on a customs payment or something like that.

Who makes the customs payment? Not me?

Still waiting on my JVCs. They are still at JFK sorted but not released. My Shure SRH1540s came and I ordered them 2 weeks after. The shures are awesome.

But are they paying any dividend?

Not that this will help Talan7 at all, but if anyone is looking to get the sz2k, I ordered mine from the store J-Made on amazon (as well as other headphones) and they've all be delivered in under a week (I live in NYC). They even include a hand written note and call you San - which feels pretty good. Def recommend them for any Japan imports.

Not trying to shill for these guys, just bummed about Talan7's situation and hope to help anyone avoid customs delays in the future.

No one should be denied their slam.

I've been missing the slam lately. The Fostex TH600 slams hard and sounds amazing. The JVC HP-DX1000 slams decently and sounds beautiful. But I miss the SZ2000. Nothing else can hit as hard as them.

They do kick the ever loving **** out of the ear drums. Get a set cheap and just put em' in a box that says don't sell me unless your dying on it:p

Good luck with the trade.I'd like to hear about your thoughts on the Dx2k

It seem my package has been sent back to Japan. What could be the reason for that? I asked for a refund from the seller.
